Holiday rentals with beach access in Waipouli Beach

We wanted a space in the middle of Kauai with nearby beach, restaurants, and only 90 minute drive as far as you can go to either the Tunnels Beach or Polihale. We mostly traveled to the less touristy beaches during the day and spent the evenings swinging on the porch swings looking at the beach between the AirBNB and the Hyatt each evening. Great space for 2 with separate bedroom and living room for couples that get up at 2 different times and a washer dryer so we could bring clean clothes home. Great kitchen with all the upgraded supplies. 2 walkable coffee shops and restaurants less than a mile away. We stayed at the Four Seasons Maui the week before and although we really, really enjoyed the understated luxury, we liked Kauai and this space better. Thanks for a great week!

Excellent location on the South shore of Kauai with close proximity to Poipu beach. The unit was very clean and had all listed amenities, we particularly liked the "Aloha" surfboards and the record player with Hawaiian music. Also had boogie boards, snorkel equipment, beach chairs, and umbrellas which were very helpful. Amenities also include access to a pool and waterslide and access to beach towels. We appreciated the air conditioning, which some other units do not have. Easy to check in and out.

We loved our stay! Super cute interior and felt like a hotel. Great location to explore the island and relax. Loved having a washer & dryer available! We appreciated the access to beach chairs/umbrellas and snorkeling gear. Highly recommend staying here!

Lovely grounds. Easy to feel At home. Matt ( on site manager) went out of his way to make us feel at home, even brought us games to play with grandkids on a rainy day. Centrally located, coffee, fruit, and granola to get started. Washing on premises. We were not looking for a resort ( pools, restaurant on premise) this was able to feel like home, grill and eat outside.

Just an amazing location!! The place was super clean and very comfortable. Sitting on the back patio with the new furniture listening to the waves and looking out on the ocean was incredible!! Can’t imagine a better location. We could hear the waves from everywhere in the condo and falling asleep to the waves was fantastic! Roz was a great host and provided tons of local recommendations and was always very prompt getting back to us if we had any questions. We’ll definitely be back!!

Fantastic location. Great resort. Alicja was wonderful and super responsive. Would recommend for all who want to take advantage of all of the activities/hikes in Princeville and Hanalei. Loved the small kitchenette stocked w an array of appliances. Would highly recommend!

This place was a 12566/10 ! Could not recommend more! It went above and beyond our expectations! Classic second level beach front Hawaiian bungalow with beautiful exposed beams and stellar views of humpback whales breaching on the horizon ! Beautiful sunsets and full moon rises every night ! The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel right at home catering to our every need! This spot is for guests that want to have the true local experience ! The location is very accessible to a lot of local spots and was still very secluded and relaxing, will definitely be coming back 100000%

Adam and Beata’s place in Princeville is a dream! Perfect for a solo traveler or couple, super clean and beautiful surroundings. We met Adam while here, he was friendly and kind. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a seriously charming Kauai time.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home in Princeville. The space was perfect for our group of eight — spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The kitchen was wonderful and made it easy to cook meals together, and the location was ideal for quick trips to Hanalei Bay and other nearby spots. Everything was comfortable and thoughtfully arranged for a relaxing stay. Laura was a great host — responsive, helpful, and made everything easy from start to finish. The standout feature was definitely the lanai. We started each morning with coffee out there, enjoying the breeze, the sound of birds, and the ever-changing weather — from gentle rain to sudden downpours. It was the perfect place to unwind and soak in the lush surroundings. The ping pong table was a fun bonus and got plenty of use. This home was the perfect base for our trip and we’d absolutely stay again!

We really liked Devaki's place, and she was super responsive and helpful. Amazing location 1 block from Pavilions beach in Hanalei, and just a couple blocks from the main downtown. We would stay here again. Just a couple of heads-up: - There is no AC, so we had to leave the windows open (there are good screens and cross-breezes) and fans at night, and it was still a bit warm. - Because the windows are open at night, we were awoken early each morning by roosters crowing and some street noise. Although it was generally a quiet neighborhood, there was the occasional early loud car or person shouting. - The kitchen wasn't particularly well equipped if you're planning to do much cooking (we normally do). We couldn't find a saucepan that had a lid, the frying pan was a bit warped and didn't heat evenly, and we couldn't find a set of measuring spoons, among other things. There were some spare olive oil, balsamic, salt, etc. which was nice. Great place though!

Brandon was very flexible allowing us to stage our luggage before checking. He was very responsive in both Airbnb messages and phone. The place is very clean and provides everything a family needs. Unfortunately, the pool is fairly far like most places not in the resorts it’s a shared community pool. Other than that place is fantastic and highly recommend!

Enjoyed the most mellow and relaxing vacation with my adult children. We walked daily on the great pathway and took in the blue ocean and the peaceful setting. The neighborhood was quiet and what I expected. We enjoyed eating at all the wonderful local places within a casual 20 minute walk. It was rainy this time of the year so sometime we just stayed and chilled in the awesome living room. The house is old so it has its charms but it felt like going to a beach house. There are plenty of windows and we slept with them open and it was very windy at night so we didn’t miss the a/c at all. We are from the Pacific Northwest, my son said he was surprised that 72 degrees could feel so cold and it was funny to see him wear his puffy jacket at times. Anyone staying here in the spring should probably bring a jacket because the wind and moisture can make it feel a lot colder than it should be due to being right next to the ocean. This is an excellent location overall.

What an amazing place! 10min outside of Hanalei so it is quiet and peaceful. We loved going to bed and waking up to the ocean waves!

Our family felt right at home, thanks to Donna! It was comfortable and clean, and really ended up being exactly how she described! We will definitely reach out to Donna next time we're coming to Kauai!

We have had the most amazing stay in Hanalei - Rainbow House is everything we were hoping for and more. Surfing with Micco was the icing on the cake. We will be back to Hanalei soon and we plan on booking here again. From the quiet location to the convenience of being able to walk everywhere, we have been happy as clams on our family vacation! 8 thumbs up from a family of four.

"As Described" sounds like faint praise, but with rentals it's super important. this place delivered on everything advertised. Very spacious. The primary bedroom was set apart from the other two and had its own bathroom. We didn't use the exterior but it looked super cute with two sitting areas, front and back. AC was great. Kitchen was spacious too, which helped a lot. the nearby Coconut Market has really developed into something worth spending time in. Two close beaches, one small and private and one large with gentle shallows. The primary bed was super cushy. Tropical bugs can be an issue anywhere in Hawaii but they were well under control here, which was nice. We've been to the islands six times and likes this place a lot. Absolutely, definitely would stay again... and probably will.

The place was clean, tidy, and overall as described. Perfect, friendly communication and instructions. The condo is easy walking distance - 1 block - from great Kauai beaches, which made it great for our family of 4. We enjoyed the beach amenities (beach towels, boogie boards, beach bags, & chairs). We felt this condo was a great value for the location.

STAY HERE! my boyfriend and I come to Kauai a lot and this is probably our favorite visit. We had another air bnb dilemma and had to rebook and Kelly was so responsive and kind. The condo was absolutely beyond our expectations. The view was absolutely breathtaking taking we watched the sunset every night from the balcony. The house was spacious. There was more than enough beach gear. the location is beautiful for walks and close to Hideaway beach AND you have access to a private beach right by the condo and it was the most beautiful date we had on our last night. Trust me if you want memories this is the place to stay. We will only stay here for now on

The view!! We watched turtles from the lanai, and beautiful sunrises. And the surroundings were dark enough to see a gorgeous night sky when it was clear. The condo was spacious and clean. Bed was super comfortable, as was the living room furniture. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beach chairs and umbrellas provided. Easy walk to several beaches, short drive to several others. Walked over to the Beach House for happy hour. Close to restaurants and shops. Really enjoyed our stay!

This was a great base camp for our family kauai adventure. We enjoyed the air conditioning and full kitchen. There were a couple of things that we needed help with during our stay and our host was very responsive every time we reached out. The only thing that we would say could be improved would be that the front bedroom doesn't really get cool from the AC so some nights our kids got pretty warm even with the fans but other than that it was a fantastic stay. The beach is literally right across the parking lot and there are chairs and a pool right by the beach that we enjoyed.

Patricia is an excellent host-friendly, responsive and helpful (great suggestions for our stay). The unit was wonderful and easily accommodated our family of 6 adults. Clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Beach gear, chairs, towels and snorkeling equipment were provided, which would have been an extra cost at the beach. Walkable to the beach. Wonderfully lush surroundings. The only negative is the lack of air-conditioning and it was very hot.

Allison is an amazing host! She is super proactive and so accommodating. The place is very conveniently located and easy to find, it is walkable to restaurants and shopping. The beach is beautiful with a beautiful sunrise. There is a pool and hot tub just steps away from the condo. Would definitely stay here again!
