In its former glory, the Stable was a traditional horse stable, now it is a fully renovated self-contained apartment that can comfortably accommodate two people. The double brick Stable ensures a cool retreat in summer and a warm and cosy getaway in winter. Located centrally behind Sanger Street so walking distance to Corowa's shopping and dining precinct.
“Centre of town, Great location, walking distance to everything we needed. Very clean. Everything was as described., no disappointments. Enjoyed our breakfasts sitting outside at the outdoor dining setting. The inside Dining table had a power point next to it so I was able to use laptop comfortably too. Excellent for the price.”
Our home is located in historic Corowa, birthplace of Federation of Australia. Only 3 hours from Melbourne, across the river from the famous Rutherglen wine region. Located on the Murray River, Corowa offers many sporting facilities such as rowing, water-skiing, lawn bowls, golf and many more. The region hosts many festivals and exhibitions such as the very popular Taste of Rutherglen.
“Although we rated this property as 5 stars for accuracy, I still have to say the pictures, don't do it enough justice. It is even better than it looks! We have stayed in AirBNB's in Paris, Barcelona, Venice, and across Italy and also San Francisco and Francis & Lynette's place is equal to the best of them. We also could not believe the amount of little extras, that they thought of, to have in the pantry & the fridge, to make the stay so nice & so much easier. Everything is in great condition and lots of it is sparkling new. A beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated older property in a fantastic location. Thanks for the tip about D'Amico's Italian restaurant it was very good. This Place is so good, I hope that it will be available when we want to come & stay again, and not be booked out due to popularity.”
Our cabin is a fantastic place to get away from it all and relax by the River. A romantic and secluded setting only 5 mins from town centre! You can fish from the river deck, enjoy a bike ride along the rail trail or visit the wineries of Rutherglen.
“Lisa and Ken's place is situated beautifully, right on the river, where you can watch so much. Particularly birdlife, as well as changes throughout the day eg - sunlight here, breeze ruffling the wattle there. Loved the world waking up in the early morning, and the clear star viewing at night, along with the resident ringtail possies and their babies. Enjoyed hunting for oranges to pick off L and Ks fruit trees and scavenging in Ken's garden for broccoli bits to supplement dinner. Really liked looking at the old bibs and bobs around the house - huge fishing lures, an old wooden canoe, photos of great catches past and the like.”
