Holiday houses in Vohilava

Our stay at Daniela’s Hilltop Retreat in Vohilava was absolutely amazing — we loved it from the moment we arrived. The house is spacious, with an open-plan design and a beautiful balcony overlooking the large lounge and kitchen, all with stunning ocean views. Each morning, the maid prepared us a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit juice, eggs, and pancakes, a great start to the day. Loïc the manager made the trip so much better than it would have been otherwise. Each evening he would check in with us about what we wanted to do the next day, then he took care of all the arrangements — making every excursion effortless and letting us enjoy ourselves. Some of the activities we experienced included snorkeling, kayaking, swimming in a crystal-clear lagoon, and standing under an incredible waterfall — the kind of adventures you usually only see in travel magazines. I highly recommend Daniela’s Hilltop Retreat. My only concern is that it will get booked out every week

Sophie is a responsive host and very attentive to offer us and share the good places. The house is excellent and matches the photos and has all the amenities. The employees of the house are professional, helpful and help to make pleasant stays.

So first to say, I spent 2 months at La Spiaggia. It was an outstanding time. I five starred everything in the review because the place itself, I would have given 7 starts if I could. Germano and Julianne were both extremely helpful and responsive. And the groundsman, Francisco, is great - give him a few Ariary and ask him to keep you supplied with fresh coconuts from the trees in the garden (or bring you any kind of fruit actually) and he will be very happy to oblige There were also some things not as expected - it's on a road, there's a damp problem in the GF bedrooms, and it's definitely not a private beach. However all of Sainte Marie appears to be on a road, the damp is not a problem if you're less than 6 people, and there's no such thing as a private beach on the island. The unexpected quirks won't be an issue if you're expecting them. If you're considering going, you'll be glad about your decision if you do. I would stay there again if I ever go back to Sainte Marie.

Incredible stay at Takeyale. The perfect beach house in paradise. Transport to and from the island organised seamlessly. Very comfortable bungalows and stunning sunset views over the ocean & mainland Madagascar. Olivier is an incredible chef and looked after all our needs during our stay. Highly recommend and will be returning one day.

We were looking for an individual accommodation, far from the urban center, surrounded by nature and by the sea... when we saw Marc's listing, we thought:  "banco!"... well that was little to say!!! This house turned out better than we had ideally projected!!! Everything is there: the natural environment, the calm, the ocean at the foot of the door, the maintenance of the house by Martine and without forgetting Marc's warm welcome, his availability and everything that makes him a charming person. A few details to know before arriving, which for us were not problematic: no coffee maker, no hot water currently(solar water heater out of service). On the other hand, there is all the necessary equipment to cook, a Gaziniere 4 fires and oven, a fridge /freezer. We would highly recommend and will happily come back.
