We had a wonderful two week stay with Sue & Rob. The house is large and the view is absolutely stunning- looking out to the mountains. The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities that you might need. The pool was perfect and the children LOVED it! The village itself is very pretty and the local restaurants and village cafe are great. Sue and Rob are incredibly friendly, kind and knowledgeable hosts who made us feel so welcome. Thank you so so much, we’ll hope to come again sometime.

We stayed two nights at Marias Place, it's perfect located in the center of Pinhao. There are several options nearby to check out the Dourovalley. Most important of all, there was breakfast included with fresh bread every morning!

A totally recommended place, both for the location, being a very quiet and perfect area to rest, and for the hosts, who were willing to help in any way necessary. We left thinking about coming back. Wonderful. Thank you very much, family.

This is such a lovely family holiday home. It’s very big but still remand homely. It is much better then the photos can do justice. The view is amazing. Sitting in the two hammocks looking over the view of the pool is very relaxing. The grounds are really lovely and there’s lots of extras like outside shower, many attractive seating areas, water features, an orchard etc. It has been a family holiday home so there are lovely pictures of the family and nearly any type of crockery, table cloth or glass you can imagine needing. We were welcomed by the lovely owners and shown round. Our kids loved the pool but word of warning it’s fairly deep for kids at probably 5ft. They were fine with rubber rings and had a great time. Porto is about 50 minutes drive away but nearby is a large lake with many coves/beaches/cafe/water sports for you to discover. Thank you for a great stay

We stayed one night after hiking in the area. The location is perfect and the house is as described. We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it to others who are looking for a quiet stay with lots of nature-related things to do close by.

The farm's loose animals confirm the expectation of freedom that we always have for the holidays and the comfort of the house reminds us of what is essential and what is accessory in life. Marisa was the absolutely perfect host, I can't believe how responsive and flexible she was on check in and every moment after! Lovely house, great sparkling clean pool and everything you could possibly wasn with regards to provision in the kitchen, bathroom etc. We loved our stay and highly recommend this property and Marisa to anyone looking to do the Douro Valley. Godim is a little out of the way but it has enough when you are out doing wineries everyday. The property was spacious, had a car garage, airconditioning was good and all the provisions in both the kitchen and bathrooms were perfect. We really felt at home. Marisa is the BEST host, she baked this amazing cake for us [which we ate!!] and had a fabulous hamper with wine and goodies to treat us while we stayed. We had a few questions in the beginning and she responded immediately and offered to come around anytime if needed. Really enjoyed our stay.

We visit Portugal every year and like to stay on the way. We had such a good time that we stayed longer this year as it was such a lovely place. They were very helpful arranging our stay and would definitely recommend them.

Unprepossessing from the outside and set towards the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, this spacious three bedroom property, one with its own ensuite bathroom, has a full length verandah and a carefully tended garden, ideal for relaxing, and is a few minutes' walk from the local pool. You'll need a car if you want to sample the local restaurants or visit a supermarket but there is an excellent regular service on a comfortable air conditioned coach into Porto.
