A fantastic house with all amenities and Vanessa a great host

We were comfortable, everything as it appeared in the ad. Santiago was very attentive at all times, a great host.

An absolutely stunning property, with everything you could possibly need for a home away from home stay. Fantastic pool and pool house as well. Large kitchen/ dining/ living area meant that even with 8 adults staying it never felt crowded. Fresh baked goods left for our arrival as well as complementary toiletries. Tania and her husband were so helpful even arranging an early check in at the last minute. Genuinely is only 15 minutes drive from Bilbao and the beach, although bus stop is only a short walk away. Couple of restaurants in the local town are a short walk away. Comment from a past visitor about security cameras was over exaggerated, there is one camera pointing at the back of the garden and not into or around the house. Also felt very safe as there is the regional police headquarters behind the property 😂(but doesn’t overlook it at all). We will definitely be returning to this property and to beautiful Bilbao.

12 of us stayed with Mari Luz and had a great time. Everyone was comfortable and felt at home for the 4 nights we were there. At first I was worried that we might disturb Mari Luz but we didn't receive any complaints despite 1 or 2 late nights drinking around the dinner table. Also I'm extremely glad we stayed in Castro Urdiales instead of Bilbao since Castro was a much more relaxing and hospitable place and Bilbao was only a 30 min bus away anyway.

we had a great holiday at the house. The photos don't show enough how big and beautiful the garden is. Also the house is more spacious than we expected in the pictures. Received by Lucia upon arrival. Being able to communicate in English. (I don't speak Spanish). There was also a delicious local delicacy ready for us. Very attending. The house was sparkling clean. And more spacious than I expected. The garden is large and fully fenced so our dog could walk loose. There was space for sun and shade. From the covered porch we had mountain views. The pool was wonderful as well. We were able to swim in it on hot days. It is large enough for a family of 4. The peace, the silence. Only sounds of the countryside. Cows, dogs, birds, toads. Very restful. And last but not least, the area. Really beautiful. What a beautiful region. Lucia thank you!

We had a great stay, the house was very clean and Jose was such a lovely guy. He was always contactable. He gave us lots of recommendations on things to do and places to visit which we did and throughly enjoyed them all. The pool was beautiful and our kids really enjoyed it. Check in and out was flexible which was excellent.

We have been very comfortable in Gloria's house. Mari, who welcomed us, was very pleasant, showed us the house and its facilities in detail. The house is fully equipped, and is perfect for disconnecting. A very peaceful place and wonderful scenery. We'll be back!

We have passed 2 families the May Bridge in the Vallejo house. Saying that the communication with diego was very good, on arrival they were waiting for us to explain everything. The area is super well connected, there is a very nice walk through the village and the river saja ideal for going with the dogs and the family. Diego left us recommendations for restaurants and areas to visit and we listened to him. All from 100! Definitely to be repeated. The house has all the amenities and very close there are a lot of super markets. Yes, check the opening hours on festive. In Madrid we are very poorly used to.

Everything was perfect, the house is incredible, it doesn't lack anything, clean, big, we loved it !! the very quiet area and the perfect environment. Communication with Isabel and Consuelo is perfect, easy and attentive instructions at all times

Inaki was very helpful right from the beginning of our stay and could not have been easier to deal with. He looked up local taxi forms and bus routes to where we needed to go, gave food recommendations for around the local area. Replied very quickly and had an amazing home, it was even better than the photos. Inaki even left us a few basics like eggs and bread etc and some really nice lemon cake too! I couldn’t recommend him and his place enough Thankyou so much for all the help

Our stay was very pleasant. The house is spacious and perfect for groups: three bathrooms (one per floor), two large living rooms and a separate txoko that, together with the garden, is great for everyone to be together. The area is very quiet, without noise, and is used both inside and outside. The patio with barbecue is spacious and cozy. Guadalupe, the hostess, was a sweetheart, very close, attentive and flexible with the check-out time. Although the turtle pond we saw in the photos was no longer there, everything else was perfect. We felt very comfortable throughout the stay.

A great stay in the middle of nature. Iñaki and Ana are very attentive guests who make you feel at home. They provide you with countless recommendations to enjoy the area during your stay. The casita is perfect for spending a few days relaxing as a couple. Thank you for everything!

Such a beautiful place! The property is just like in the photos — cozy and exactly as described. If you're looking to get away from the city, breathe in fresh mountain air, and enjoy peaceful nature and amazing views, this is the spot. There’s no WiFi, but mobile internet works great, so it wasn’t a problem at all. Big thanks to Maria Jesus for being such a kind and welcoming host! 😊

Family weekend in a comfortable and well located house. well equipped for 6 people, with ATMs, shops and restaurants. A very nice walking area. The owner took care of us before we arrived quickly.

Super spot, close to the beach and not far from the center of Sopela! When we were there there was quite a bit of parking, so that was cool. I would recommend.

It took me a few days to write the review. The place is just perfect, and better but not only the house, but the surroundings and above all the tremendous friendliness of Antonio and Loli. We were 2 couples with 2 children each. We enjoyed in a dream place and the kids enjoyed all the details they had prepared for them. I think you can't ask for more... For my part just say thank you and of course, I'm clear that when I come back, it will be in this same house!

We spent a couple of great days staying in Salazar enjoying the hospitality of María and Julián as well as the visits we had planned, all of them within a radius of about 15-20 km from the accommodation (very close to Villarcayo and Medina de Pomar where you have all kinds of services). The house is cozy, comfortable and relaxing. Maria, thank you so much for "breakfast", we did not expect to find such a variety of milk, coffee, jam, butter, muffins, etc. In short, a pleasure. See you next time

Everything was great! We spent 3 days, a couple and a 3-year-old. The perfect house, just like the ad and clean. Beautiful landscape, very peaceful and lots of things to do in the area.

Hello, everyone and all!! We've just spent a spectacular weekend in Las Merindades, in Raquel's incredible house. First of all, I should point out that it was a surprise getaway for my partner, for her 30th birthday. From the beginning, Raquel was a lovely person, helping me with everything, offering me plans and help with anything that came up. She left us a card with congratulations included and two chocolate muffins! The house is even better than in the photos, the garden is huge, with hammocks, a barbecue, plenty of space for our dog (he had a great holiday), lots of trees and shade, a porch with an unbeatable table for breakfast and dinner. The house inside is absolutely amazing, it's impossible not to fall in love with it, we loved every little detail! I don't want to say goodbye and recommend this house, without first thanking our host and telling you that Raquel is 10/10, her and the stay of course! Don't miss out on visiting Frías, Puentedey, Tobera and Ruinas de Rioseco!!

An ideal place to stay with children! We had a great time despite the bad weather... a pity since we could not enjoy the garden, but luckily the penthouse was full of toys to make up for it! We were very comfortable and the rooms were very nice.

We have been very comfortable, both us and our children. This is peace of mind that is what we were looking for and the house is great, very clean and very nice,we slept very well. It was very well equipped, there was nothing missing

Casa Merino is in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood in the mountains. In order to get into town (Castro Urdiales) and easily get to other areas of Cantabria, hiring a car or bringing your own is recommended. Pilar was very communicative and there to welcome us when we arrived. The house was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. Pilar also readily answered queries during our stay and gave recommendations. We would happily recommend Casa Merino.
