Excellent stay for several in family with children. The area is beautiful and well maintained, the swimming pools are pleasant to cool down during heat waves. The hospitality is perfect; the price in season can be scary initially but the house, the estate and the kindness of the employees justify it. We'll be happy to go back! Thank you Ines (and Angela)

A great place to stay with driving distance of Great Douro wineries, miradouro with an incredible view of the valley. Very clean, large and more beautiful than the photos show. Vitor and Marilia are great hosts, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there..

Great location and superb home. So cute and spacious for a European dwelling. We loved our stay there and would have loved to stay longer. Was so nice having a garage too. Carlos and family are fantastic hosts. We will definitely come back!

we had a great stay in this beautiful house, very well maintained, with this beautiful garden. the view is splendid on the mountains. the pool is very nice. the owners are lovely and do their best to make the stay as good as possible, we had problems with our electric rental car to recharge, they found us a solution and saved our holiday. They both have delicate attentions. I recommend this house where you are sure to have a pleasant stay.

The house is in a quiet area about 4 km from Chaves, well isolated, and although the temperature outside was cold, inside the house the temperature was very pleasant, cleanliness, distribution, utensils, everything was perfect, and the two or three things that were not right did not cause us any inconvenience either, there were 6 of us and we had a very good weekend, an experience to repeat.

The place is beautiful, sleeping to the sound of the water is spectacular and very relaxing.

This was one of two Airbnb stays we've visited for the second time over the years. This time we felt extremely comfortable with Julio and Irene! This time we were on site for 2 weeks and were therefore able to enjoy the accommodation even more. The pool, the nature, everything convinced us again this time! A beautiful apartment with stunning surroundings Spotlessly clean. Ideally placed for riding around on a motorbike. Very helpful, pleasant owners. We will most definitely choose it again. 100% recommend

Great space and view, quite far away from groceries, so remember to stock up. Great pool and very nice place with good room layout.

Your stay at the Casa de Rio Trutas could not have been better! Super available and flexible hosts, the house corresponded exactly to the one published in the photos and the described (in fact, it even surprises positively), kitchen with all the amenities, very comfortable rooms, beautiful decor, large ballroom for parties or other activity (we did a dance class!)... Pena could not stay longer and enjoy the pool (but this had nothing to do with the host). It is a great space for families, groups of friends, whether you want to go just to rest or celebrate a birthday or a bachelorette party! High level recommendation! :D

Filipa's converted mill is a wonderful place, hidden between the hills. Our kids enjoyed playing in the river and observing the wildlife around it. There are some great restaurants nearby and good hiking opportunities in the nearby national park. Filipa was very helpful and provided lots of recommendations for the surroundings.

We had a simply perfect family stay at this wonderful home. The atmosphere is incredibly quiet, ideal for those looking for rest and tranquility. The interior spaces are very cozy, and the exteriors are equally fantastic, with beautiful gardens and a very nice pool area. João, our host, was always of a contagious sympathy, very attentive and helpful at all times – from our reservation to the end of our stay. We thank you for all the care and availability you have shown. We recommend this house to everyone and, without a doubt, we intend to return in the future. A 5-star stay!

Hello! Everything went perfectly. The house is spacious and as shown in the photos. When we arrived everything was clean and prepared. It was a great weekend, the host answered very kindly and quickly. We signed it up to be repeated

The apartment offers all the basic equipment you need, including a washer and dryer. The flat is very quiet.

We needed a secluded enough place to work in peace and walk in the countryside. It was perfect for us. It is a rural area, with many forest paths, and marked trails around Ribeira or Boticas. A big thank you to Jean's uncle and aunt, who were lovely.

Maria welcomed us saying: “welcome to my paradise”. Maria’s place turned out to be paradise in earth. Maria thought about every detail. The welcoming meal, breakfast, how neat the rooms were was all organized and planned with passion . The garden is where I spent most of my time. The views are magical. It was impressive to witness companion planting live in Maria’s garden. Multiple sections of the garden are strategically positioned within the land. Every section has a sitting place where Maria invites you to sit and enjoy her hard work. This is by far one of the best Airbnb I stayed in.

Mariana's house is wonderful and Mariana is very helpful. She quickly answered everything we asked and gave us lots of tips on what to do in that area.

A beautiful, old house, lovingly restored and very comfortable for our week's stay. It's very spacious, quiet and the patio is lovely to sit out in. We enjoyed exploring the area and loved swimming in the rivers.

Joao’s place was clean, cozy and inviting. Nestled in a beautiful quiet neighbourhood offering tons of privacy. His mom Maria was there to meet us when we arrived , we actually landed 20-30 minutes before check in and she let us in and showed us around. This is the third place we’ve stayed here on this trip and by far my favourite for a relaxing stay.
