Gîte with swimming pool in the green heart of France

Next to our farm is the small gîte on a dead end road. The old barn was transformed by us into a self-contained studio with all amenities (including solar panels) for a carefree holiday; open space with kitchen, seating area, queen size bed and bathroom. In front of the gîte is the covered private terrace with fencing, so that dogs can safely be released. In a separate piece of garden, there is the swimming pool, which our guests can use. Upstairs both bedrooms benefit from their own en-suite shower rooms. The pretty gardens are home to numerous fruit and nut trees, and shared by the owners resident donkeys, chickens & cats

Charming split level, open plan gite, converted from an old stone barn attached to the family fermette set amongst fields, hedgerows and trees. Wood burning stove heating.Located on a peaceful rural lane close to the local village. Wonderful forest walks in close proximity. All mod cons and plenty of car parking space. Light and airy. There are numerous places of interest in the area serving a wide variety of tastes, as well as plenty of routes to explore for ramblers, walkers and cyclists.

Our guests say they love... relaxing on the balcony overlooking their (saltwater, key-secured) pool, watching the sun rise and set, toasting marshmallows around the fire pit (spring, automn,winter) BBQs, basketball, ping-pong, and fast wifi. In June, pick cherries for homemade jam. There’s grassy space for sports, a semi-shaded courtyard, and colourful rooms with upcycled furniture by local artists. Nearby: castles, Futuroscope, and cozying up playing board games by the wood burner in winter.

La Grange du Roy is an old barn restored into a small house, located in a small hamlet south of Indre-et-Loire, close to a river (200 m), with a walled garden. Nestled in the heart of a 2-hectare property, in a green and enchanting setting, Alphonsine's house is composed of 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen as well as a bathroom. The first bedroom has a large bed for 2 people and the second has 2 beds for 1 person. An outdoor area with a barbecue available enhances this place steeped in history. Formerly a grain store, this house was converted into a dwelling in the 1940s.
