Our hosts, Otto and Lidi, received us with open arms. They were so easy to talk to and always made themselves available for anything we needed. Super welcoming and nice. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were also very clean and beautiful. When the power went out, the backup generators kicked on automatically so we had no issues with lighting. My only critique is that the house presented itself as a standalone home when really it’s a series of bedrooms that are connected to what I would describe as a small housing complex. Multiple family members, along with Otto and Lidi, living on the premises so there wasn’t exactly a house let alone to ourselves. In all, it was good and we are super appreciative for the stay.

Beautiful home with a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff there make you feel like you royalty service at your fingertips. I will definitely stay here again whenever I’m in Varadero.

Increíble! Cumplió mis expectativas y las de mi familia. La casa espectacular, una vista maravillosa , con magnificas condiciones. La casa muy limpia y comportable. Mucha privacidad y el Señor Alfonso siempre a la orden. La verdad me sentí como en casa. El barrio muy tranquilo, muy buena comida cerca y con servicio a domicilio. Altamente recomendable, regresaría sin pensarlo!!!

Our stay at María Elena's house was truly exceptional. The house is absolutely stunning, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. The location is perfect, close to restaurants, bars, and the beach. María Elena is incredibly accommodating and helpful, and she went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She helped us find transportation to go snorkeling, and she recommended some great places to visit. We couldn't have asked for a better host. Our experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The house was spotlessly clean, and the amenities were top-notch. María Elena was always available to answer our questions and help us with anything we needed. We felt like we were staying with a friend, not just a host. We highly recommend staying at María Elena's house to anyone looking for a great place to stay. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy your vacation. Thank you again, María Elena, for making our stay so special!

We have stayed in Veradero many times and this was the first time we decided to stay off the strip and we were not disappointed. This place was more than we expected. Located right in the best place for town, but just one street away from the hustle and bustle was perfect for going out or staying in and relaxing on the big beautiful porch with sunset views over the city. We were greeted immediately with smiles and a helpful hand to get us to our rental without any worry. We were welcomed with a refreshing beverage and great conversation as we got to know that we were in good hands. The breakfast was amazing, which we go every day we were so pleased. A discount at the family restaurant was also offered to guests only and we found it to be one of the best places in Santa Marta and Veradero to eat. Just google the Mojito and see what an amazing place it is. The roast traditional Cuban pork was amazing and was very romantic as 2 guitar men played love songs in the restaurant as we ate. They took requests so we started to have more fun when our meal was done. The room had hot water for both our showers and the water pressure was awesome compared to alot of places i stayed and awesome TV's with USB port so we watched our own movies on a rain day. We will definitely return to this new found Gem just minutes from the beach. I cannot say enough for the respect i have for these people and how they made my wife and I's stay so special.

Santa Marta location is an ideal spot not far from Varadero where you can be apart of the local life. Restaurants were very close in walking distance and it was only a 20 minute walk to the beautiful beach. The location was busy with noise however; it was nice experience to observe their everyday. The housekeeper Nancy was a beautiful hostess who accommodated our delicious breakfast and always checked in with us if, our stay was comfortable. Nancy was very helpful and thoughtful in our every need. My daughter started to not feel well and Nancy provided care that was so reassuring and caring. Our family rested well, enjoyed the comforts of the living space and was able to enjoy the pleasant surroundings throughout our visit. I would definitely return as I feel the living space provided exactly what we were looking for as a family. Maximo and his family made sure the questions I had were answered and offered to be picked up and dropped off at Airport by a friend who drives taxi at an affordable rate. It was a smooth transition into Cuba and into Santa Marta and of course, hard to leave! We experienced a fabulous time and vacation that will have lasting memories!

INESQUECÍVEL!!!!! Nesta casa nos sentimos como entes da família, pois Dulce e Ivon foram extremamente acolhedoras e cuidadosas conosco, mesmo após a estadia. A casa fica bem próxima a praia de Boca de Camarioca, que possui água cristalina e quente, e ao fim do dia nos presenteia com um por do sol incrível. O local fica 8km de Varadero, o que oferece um melhor o custo benefício da estadia. Mas o melhor foi sem dúvida as anfitriãs e todos o seus cuidados. Obrigada por tudo!!!

Odalys went over and beyond while hosting us for the portion of our first trip to Cuba that we stayed at her home. We were a little lost at first and she went out of her way to find us and help us to the house. The place was exceptionally clean and she had water for a good price and coffee etc. House super central to beach and restaurants. Recommended good places to eat and assisted us with everything right away. Would stay again and would recommend

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit bei Miguel und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus ist wunderschön von außen und hat eine großartige Dachterrasse mit Liegen, die zum Verweilen einladen und sogar einem Grill. Unser Appartement war sehr sauber und gemütlich. Die Lage des Hauses ist perfekt, da man in wenigen Minuten im Zentrum von Santa Marta ist, wo man alles vorfindet, was man in Kuba gerne haben möchte (Restaurants, Cafés, eine Eisdiele, Obst- und Gemüsestände). Innerhalb von 15 - 20 Gehminuten ist man am Strand in Varadero! Miguel war sehr freundlich und hat uns immer mit allem geholfen, wenn wir etwas brauchten.

The host was very helpful, responsive prior and during my stay. The unit is located 5 minutes walk from the beach and from downtown where all the club (i.e havana club) located at> They area very quiet and stay to walk at night

Kuba ist Kuba :) Wir waren für einen Monat auf Kuba mit unserer 5 jährigen Tochter. Hatten anfangs ein wenig bedenken ob es nicht zu lange wäre aber im Gegenteil die Zeit ist viel zu schnell verflogen. Die Unterkunft war perfekt wir hatten alles was man brauchte. Dalia kam jeden Morgen und hat uns ein super leckeres Frühstück gezaubert. Sie hat uns auch immer geholfen wenn wir Hilfe gebraucht haben. Auch Alba hat uns jeden Wunsch von den Lippen gelesen. Waren zwischenzeitlich in Havanna und hat uns dort alles gezeigt auch eine Unterkunft besorgt. Die Menschen auf kuba sind so herzensgute Liebe und hilfsbereite Menschen. Wir waren schon fast überall auf der Welt aber kuba hat uns am meisten gefallen. Man muss sich halt einstellen das man nicht wirklich gutes Internet hat oder Massen Auswahl an essen aber dennoch hat das Land viel zu bieten schöne Natur, Traumstrände und sehr nette Leute. Wir kommen definitiv nochmal!! Dies war nicht unser letzter Urlaub in Kuba und Vorallem bei Alba.

Great stay - very nice people. Note: you can change money easily and safely at the Artist Market just a block down the street. If the booth you ask does not change money they will point you in the right direction.
