Yes, the accommodation is actually the converted attic of an old barn. Everything was made with a lot of love and for those who cope with the simple amenities, it's a paradise. If you're looking for luxury, don't go here. If you are looking for a very unusual place to stay that is simple but clean and really very, very original – this is the place! Janis' place is absolutely fantastic! The flat is impeccably equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. All the amenities are thoughtfully provided, and the rate accurately reflects the exceptional quality of the accommodation. The location is unbeatable – just a short 10-minute walk to the historic Cesis Castle and right next to the serene forests of Gauja National Park. What truly sets this experience apart is Janis himself. He is one of the most attentive and welcoming hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying with, going above and beyond to ensure your stay is nothing short of perfect. Highly recommended!

Great stay at Girt’s. Comfortable beds and pillows, cooling in lounge room and bedroom, and curtains meant we slept well. Kitchen was well equipped. Bathroom very clean. Modern fit out, great TV, good wifi. Girts and Aiga went out of their way with local recommendations and very friendly and responsive.

We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it! The house was spotless and had everything we could possibly need- and more! From charcoal and all the grill tools, logs for the hot tube and sauna, to a great coffee machine and thoughtful touches throughout. The terrace was super cozy, surrounded by lush greenery, with plenty of different types of swings and places to unwind. At night, the starry sky was magical. It’s ideal for 3-5 people with plenty of space and clearly lots of love and care from the owners, both inside and out. The host even left us some sweet, delicious surprises that made us feel truly welcomed. We enjoyed every moment of our stay, making the most of the house and garden.Time flew by, and honestly, we didn’t want to leave. We would love to come back again someday. Thank you for everything! Nice apartment and well equipped, bright, spacious and peaceful surroundings. Only 100 meters walk to a grocery store. When visiting Cesis I can fully recommend Rebeka’s place.

The apartment is in a good location, easy to find and access. I had a pleasant stay for the night.

Wonderfully home. The construction and architecture is beautiful and well built. I highly recommend staying at Ivars place and will look to stay again when I return to Latvia. 100% recommend!!!
