A toddler lives upstairs and stays up until 10.30pm. She runs, jumps, and cries (as most toddlers do). This and the adult conversations and snoring can be heard down below.
The double bed was small for two adults and placed up against the wall so one person had to crawl over the other to get to the bathroom at night. We could feel the metal springs in the mattress. There was an option of an air mattress but, with every move, we could hear loud squeaking. The 3 pillows were thin.
The lighting was either bright like a hospital cafeteria or pitch black bc it's a basement.
There was a small kitchenette which was helpful. We were two adults staying 5 nights and there were two tea bags and 2 tablespoons of coffee left for us.
It took 22 hours for a request for hand soap.
On the plus side, there were soft warm blankets on the bed. Two cosmetic face masks to enjoy, and two pairs of slipper-socks to use on the cold basement floors. It was an easy walk to the train station.
