Your Host: I am a sculptor and jewelry designer. Born on the East Coast, I visited Arizona in 2014 and promptly fell in love with the endless blue skies and beauty of the desert. In 2015 I opened up my courtyard casita to guests and in 2023 I realized my dream of opening Penumbra, a five-suite boutique retreat on six neighboring acres . I have two dogs, Arya and Otis; we can most often be found in my studio or exploring the surrounding desert.

We loved staying at the Peace Garden! The patio was the perfect place to have morning coffee before exploring the surrounding community, and to wind down after a day of fun! We appreciated the adjacent hiking trail leading down to the river and Tuzigoot Monument. The Casita was equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and then some! It truly was a peaceful, relaxing, and scenic experience!

Incredible stay! The place was spotless, cute, and beautifully put together. The host was super responsive and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The attention to detail was absolutely insane; even down to having almost every type of sugar and creamer, all kinds of glasses and plates, and even a noise machine for sleeping. And that’s just the little stuff! It truly felt like every single thing had been thoughtfully considered. Quiet, serene, and an overall amazing experience. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
