Family-friendly holiday rentals in Unicoi County

The place was exactly as it looked in the listing and was quiet and peaceful. There was plenty of outside seating and the provided fire wood for the wood pit was a great bonus. The overlook was particularly nice to feel like you were in the woods but only steps from the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Theresa the co-host went out of her way to maintain communication with me. At any point I wanted to give her updates or ask any questions she was only a phone call away. I felt super welcomed and safe. She stocked the house with all of your basic food needs. There was a surplus of kitchen supplies to make a home cooked meal. Parking at the well and hiking up to the cabin with my belongings was quite a challenge It's about 65 steps. Once up there I took full advantage of the Hottub. I recommend to any guests to bring their own hammock to enjoy swinging in the front porch and listening to the creek. I recommend wearing hiking shoes to go up to the cabin. I absolutely recommend getting to the cabin way before dark, and if unable bring your own headlamps and flashlights. Be hyper prepared if you've never been into isolated wilderness like that. This a cozy and comfortable space for exploring the area. Everything was clean, the decor is fun, and every corner is appointed with care and attention. The hot tub overlooking the river is a special treat! Mary Katherine is a kind and responsive host as well. The roads definitely require 4x4 if it’s been raining, but I no problems getting in. This is a wonderful, peaceful place.

My guests were impressed with my selection! It is good to know this option exists so close to where I live! It is a cute and homey little cottage.

If you want privacy, seclusion and the most amazing star gazing experience of your life (seriously!), this is the place for you! Come prepared to relax and take in the countryside with gorgeous mountain views and adorable farms dotting the landscape.

This place is amazing! We weee 2 families staying there and there was more than enough room for everyone. The property is beautiful, I could have hiked there for days. It is about 2 hours away from all sorts of attractions in different directions such as Gatlinburg, Beech mountain and more. The property care taker, Rob was extremely responsive, friendly and helpful. Overall, our stay was a huge success and we enjoyed every minute of it.

Nonna is a great host with good communication and she is responsive to any questions you may have. Her home is very clean, organized, nicely furnished, and has some amazing views. We really enjoyed our stay there and Nonna provided some great suggestions that made our stay even more rewarding than it would otherwise have been. We're very glad we stayed there and would be happy to return in the future!

We had a great stay! The house is very spacious yet very warm and welcoming with super cute decorations. The hot tub was well maintained, you do have to push the buttons pretty hard to get them to work, which was no biggie when we figured it out. The downstairs was the perfect place for a cuddly movie night. This was the first place I've stayed that provided some snacks it was a great touch. The kitchen was stocked will all essentials pots pans and appliances. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also very well stocked and clean. This place is huge and so is the yard. My only piece of advise is to update the pictures in the posting. I was hesitant to book, and almost didn't because it looked like its was on a busy street and had small rooms. I was happily surprised that it was in a private area and could very easily fit 8 adults in beds. It was more than enough room for us 4 adults. 10/10!

We had a great stay at the Plumtree Cabin, it was nice to journey through the mountains and find ourselves in a private Cabin next to a farm. We were also welcomed by a family of 7 deer each night of our stay. Very affordable and comfortable cabin. Will definitely keep in mind for future travels.

It was a wonderful weekend getaway! We went up here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday in a peaceful way and to disconnect from the outside world. It was homie and beautiful all around. We were able to bring our dog and he enjoyed running around, bathing in the sun, and visiting the cow! We will sure be back once late spring/ summer hits! So thankful for James and Sofi to open up their cabin to us!

It was amazing being right at the AT as well as walkable to Artisun cafe and easily accessible to downtown. We squeezed in 7 people and were just fine for the weekend. It just takes a little food planning with a small fridge and no stove, but between the grill, instant pot, and toaster oven we were just fine. It was a very sweet little space to spend our weekend!

The chalet was even better in person. The view is incredible and the whole feeling of the place was peaceful, thoughtful, and refreshing. Ron was very communicative and helpful and provided very clear instructions for finding the place and for checking in. I would stay there again any time.

My family and I loved our stay at Spring Creek Place! It is so beautiful and peaceful. My grandkids enjoyed fishing in the pond. The BEST thing about our stay was my grandchildren got to bottle feed a calf! Erin was so nice and friendly. This was our second stay at this cabin and it won't be our last. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. We as a family highly recommend a stay at Spring Creek Place!

Preston was great! We were volunteering for a few days in the area and had to find a last minute place to stay. Big bonus was they had running water so we could shower! Preston was very accommodating, and even greeted us when we got there. Had everything you needed for a convenient stay. Highly recommend this place to stay, it was very welcoming and the bed is super comfy! Best nights sleep!

This is our 3rd year coming to Brenda’s. We always like coming here to connect as a family. Mo and Brenda ate great hosts, always checking with our needs.

This was a beautiful atmosphere. I truly enjoyed my stay. The only thing was the tree out front dropped alot of flowers all over the porch which tracked inside the house. Overall, it is a great place to stay!

Everything was beyond my expectations, so comfy, cleaned, cozy, you have everything you need to not have the need to go anywhere! I’d be booking this property again! And mostly important, NO MICE ISSUES AT ALL! Just keep trash bags inside the garage as instructed ! Thank you Tami!

Beautiful home in a quiet location. This was a perfect spot for a small group to spend a week together. Kitchen was big enough for all of us to cook together. Living rooms on both floors were comfortable and had lots of great natural light. Would definitely come back.

This place was wonderful. Quiet and peaceful. Camp fire pit and firewood on site. Plenty of fishing spots close by. Zero traffic, zero noise except for the creek across the road. Ms RoxAnne was happy to answer all our questions and always had a fast response.
