This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Reikaku Yasaka | Gion | Historical Machiya

Reikaku Yasaka was a building in ruins with the floor tilted by at least 30cm when we discovered this hidden jewel. The restoration was particularly difficult due to the state it was in but our craftsman’s determination to bring this Machiya back to its formal glory paid off for Reikaku Yasaka. Terrace bathroom and bamboo tree in house. This house was build 50 years ago. We had created terrace bathroom and bamboo forest in the house. This is entire home maximum 6 persons can stay. There are two bed rooms on the second floor. One double bed (1-2 persons) + other Tatami room with double bed (1-2 persons). We have 2 extra single mattress bed each room. This is very good for two families or groups maximum for 6 persons. You can also use backyard BBQ garden patio.
