西村邸は、奈良町の一画に100年以上たたずむ、昔ながらの奈良町屋です。 ここは、ぼくが子どもの頃、長い時間を過ごした「おばあちゃんち」でした。 奈良町には、ずっと変わらない心地よい鄙(ひな)びがあります。 「これからの世代に、少しでもこの心地よい鄙(ひな)びにふれて欲しい。」 そんな想いで、空き家になっていた西村邸を、手入れしました。 - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. Easy access via bus and train, supermarket, restaurants, convenience store, bakery, and a Japanese bath house just minutes away. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!

「お知らせ」1月、2月の2ヶ月間は気温が冷え込み、道路や水道設備等が凍結するためにお休みとさせていただきます。3月からのご予約お待ちしております。 奈良の奥大和高原、標高500mの山里に佇む“まこもハウス” 築100年の古民家は一棟貸しです。 宿の周囲には「神の宿る草」ともいわれるまこもの田が広がり、部屋でゆったりと「まこもの風」を感じることができます。 囲炉裏テーブル、また井戸水を薪で焚く五右衛門風呂では　”薬草まこも湯“ が楽しめます。 テレビやwifiはありませんのでデジタルをオフにして、自分の感性をオンにしてみませんか？ マコモの葉の擦れる音、川のせせらぎ、鳥の囀り、カエル達の合唱、鹿の鳴き声などなど自然の心地よい音をお楽しみください。

かしの木庵は近鉄橿原神宮前駅から徒歩3分という大変便利な立地にあります。 橿原神宮は、日本の始まりの地で、初代天皇の御陵や神社のある歴史的な町です。また緑の多い、自然豊かな所です。近隣には、日本の古代の姿がそのまま残っているような明日香があり、そこには多くの遺跡が点在しています。また、江戸時代の古い街並みが現存する今井町も見所です。 かしの木庵は、築６０年余りの純和風の家屋で、お庭も楽しんで頂けます。台所や浴室等は、リフォームされ気持ちよく過ごしていただけます。 近くには観光案内所、レストラン、居酒屋、スーパー、ドラッグストア、コンビニ、百円ショップ等もあり、大変便利です。 京都や大阪、奈良へも1時間程で着きますよ。
