It has very good access to the Nebuta Festival, the fresh green of spring, and Hakkoda Mountain, where you can enjoy spring skiing, as well as Lake Towada and the Oirase Gorge. There is a free, large car park, so you can park easily even if you are coming with a large camper van or similar. With a spacious 39 m², you can relax and recover from the fatigue of your travels in comfort. You can also go on day trips to Lake Towada, which offers stunning views, and the Oirase Gorge, which has beautiful new green leaves and autumn leaves. In winter, we can also introduce you to the Hakkoda Mountain Back Country Ski Tour. This is an old traditional house with a genuine tea ceremony room, built 45 years ago by a tea ceremony master as his own practice space. We have inherited this house and have been protecting it while gradually restoring the neglected garden over the past 10 years. There is no TV in Shirotsubaki. Instead, we value making tea, looking at the garden, reading books, and talking with family and friends. More than 80 types of plants and trees grow in the garden, and the camellias that were once grown by the tea ceremony master are once again in bloom. On the natural stone terrace, you can enjoy reading or tea time without worrying about prying eyes. The tea room still retains the meticulous work of Kyoto craftsmen, and time passes quietly and calmly. During your stay, please choose your favourite from the authentic tea bowls and enjoy the experience of making matcha yourself. We provide a tea whisk and matcha. There is also a library where you can experience Japanese culture and art, and a small study, the "Reading & Writing Nook", bathed in soft light through the shoji. Shirotsubaki is not an inn for visiting tourist destinations. It is an inn where you can experience the peaceful way of life that Japanese people have cherished since ancient times.

This secluded guest house is located in the suburbs of Goshogawara City. We have a pet cage in the facility, so guests with dogs can also stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with an IH type system kitchen, fridge, microwave, oven toaster, and ice maker. In addition to furniture, appliances, and fixtures, we have a barbecue grill, so you can enjoy a barbecue in the garden surrounded by a peaceful view. The first floor has an 8-tatami kitchen and an 8-tatami living room, and you can go straight out to the garden. We have a single twin bed and futon in the 12 tatami mat Japanese-style room across the hallway. Toilets, washrooms, dressing rooms, and bathrooms are also available on the first floor. On the second floor, there is one 6-tatami mat bedroom and one 8-tatami mat bedroom, both of which are the type where you lay out a futon.
