Family-friendly holiday rentals in Truro

Such a beautiful AirBnB. It was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 1 infant. Spacious and wonderful views. The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals. Lots of outdoor sitting areas, and we enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor fireplace and canoeing. A great location for exploring Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, and several beaches. Melissa was a wonderful host 😊. You won’t regret staying at Three Sheep’s to the Wind.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Mark and Mary Ellen's. They were wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome. The cottage was equipped with literally everything you could think of to make yourself right at home. The kids LOVED exploring the beach each day or just playing in the yard and the hot tub. The trip to Charlottetown was very close and we were able to explore downtown and enjoy plenty of great seafood spots. Thank you so much for a great vacation!!

We came for the Hunter Moon and fell in love with the sunsets and walking on the beach. Lots of places to explore in the area.

This was our daughters first vacation out of the province so we were unsure of how it would go as she had just turned 4. We had such a lovely stay at Sarah's cozy lakefront cottage! It was peaceful and quiet — the perfect spot to relax and recharge. The location was great, with easy access to nearby attractions and some beautiful beaches close by as well as some others 1-2 hrs drive away. The host was friendly and made us feel right at home. The beds were really comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep after days spent exploring. Our daughter was thrilled with all the toys available, and we really enjoyed the selection of board games for some fun family evenings. We’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm, family-friendly getaway. We’d love to come back some day - our daughter did not want to come home.

Our second summer stay was just as wonderful as the first. More familiar this time, so the whole family felt right at home. Chris was once again very warm and welcoming in his communications. Look forward to our third stay next year if we can be so fortunate.

I had a relaxing couple of days at Annes place, the house was as described in the advertisement and had everything you would need for a stay. Close by to local restaurants/ shops giving you different options during your stay.

We had a fantastic weekend getaway at this cozy cottage on Falls Lake! The place was spotless, well-equipped, and had so many thoughtful amenities that made our stay super comfortable. From the fully stocked kitchen to the firepit by the lake, everything was perfect for a relaxing retreat. The weather was sunny and beautiful, and we made the most of the lake during the day and the firepit in the evenings. David, the host, was incredibly welcoming and helpful—he made everything seamless from start to finish. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind in nature with all the comforts of home!

Terry's home was AMAZING! It was absolutely beautiful, so clean and well-appointed! The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. From the moment we walked in the door we felt right at home. So many thoughtful touches including beautiful artwork, a welcome gift, and landscaping that was magnificent. Response time was very quick and all questions were answered thoroughly. We would definitely stay here again! Lou & Ernie

We had a wonderful experience staying at this Airbnb. There was a small issue with our original reservation, (not our hosts fault) and Dixie went above and beyond to make things right. She graciously upgraded us to a beautiful home, and honestly, we felt that we got the better end of the deal. The place we stayed in was absolutely lovely — clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Dixie was incredibly accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for a great day. Her kindness and quick communication really stood out. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. Thank you, Dixie for your hospitality.

One of my favourite Air B&B’s to date! Angela was such a thoughtful host and all of her recommendations were incredible (Bar Kismet, The Narrows, parks, breweries, etc). We had our pup and it was the ideal place, especially for wanting to get around mainly on foot. LOVELY neighborhood. We can’t wait to come back!

Jill was a great host and it was lovely to stay in her cabin. She was always accommodating and was easy to communicate. The town of Mahone Bay is awesome making this a great experience all around.

It was the perfect place to stay in Montague. Right next to the river and trails. Loved the privacy of it but the friendliness of Martina. She was great! If you are looking to stay somewhere, I would highly recommend Martina’s. Her dog Blossom was just the nicest and made us feel at home too!

Valerie’s place was exactly as pictured. Beds were so comfy we checked to see what mattress she had lol! Lots of space for the 9 of us with 2 dogs and the kitchen had everything you could ever need. A few us were trying to find available times in the summer to come back! Pool wasn’t open yet but we did to enjoy the hottub. That sunroom…all I wanted was a big comfy chair in there and never have to leave. Great house for a fun family weekend!

The cabin was quaint and charming, cosy and peaceful. Paddle boat was a fun bonus and the included firewood for our private firepit was a great added touch! Local recommendations and very friendly hosts made our stay really lovely. Thank you!

Great hosts who came to the unit as they saw us pull in to give us some helpful instructions. They even dropped off an extra bin of firewood as ours was damp from the weekend of rain. Highly recommend this place, it was beautiful! Perfect covered shelter for our rain filled stay that enabled us to enjoy to view while staying dry

Fantastic hosts. Dream heritage property with total privacy and a heated pool in a park like setting; we booked that property pretty much every year for the last seven years. Rob and Barb are constantly improving the property, there is always something new to discover, whether it's a new appliance, or a brand new landscaped river frontage inviting you to sit and watch river and ocean life whilst sipping a glass of tasty red provided with the welcome basket. We enjoyed eating out at the Lunenburg restaurants, as much as we enjoyed cooking a delicious meal at their place, which is fully equipped, one can easily cook up a gourmet meal. Golden! This place was amazing!! The location was perfect with beautiful views of the sunset right on the water. The house had more than enough room for our family of 12. Lots for the kids to do with a large beautiful pool that had a volleyball and basketball net. Lots of pool loungers and chairs to relax on. Also to keep us busy was a ping pong table and a pool table. Our host Monique, was wonderful to deal with. She answered all of our questions promptly. We would absolutely love to go back to this place again!!

We absolutely loved our stay at cabin #4. I have stayed at similar cabins in Nova Scotia, but this one was truly something special. While the other reviews correctly point out that the walls in the bedrooms don’t go all the way to the ceiling, there is an entryway between the rooms and we found them adequately private. The cabin was beautiful and rustic and the setting was unbeatable. We hope to be back, and for longer next time!
