Recharge your batteries at this unique and peaceful accommodation. A 25-minute drive from Tromsø, in a small village called Skulsfjord, you will find this cosy little house by the sea. Amazing views and a quiet area where you can enjoy idyllic mountains and natural surroundings. The Northern Lights season is from September to April. If there is clear weather, it will dance in the sky directly from the living room window. There are many great destinations for walking and boating that the host can provide information about if needed, and there are maps available in the house.

Cozy old house - Grandmas – Oldstyre house. Kraknes on Kvaløya. 16 km from Tromsø city center. Here you can enjoy great nature in summer and winter. View of magical mountains and sailing into Tromsø city. You can see some of the mountains in Lyngen Alps from the house. Here you can enjoy silence, relaxation, midnight sun in summer and northern lights and Arctic great skies in winter. 10 minutes drive from the airport and 20 minutes by car from the house to Tromsø City center. We recommend the use of a rental car.

You live 5 minutes from the airport, and yet in the countryside. A few metres from the sea and a river that flows into the sea here. Around the houses, you can spot many different animals. Reindeer often pass by. Moose can make a quick visit. Otherwise, otters and arctic weasels run around the houses. Seals swim in the sea, and dolphins occasionally. An excellent place to observe the Northern Lights - and if it's windless, they are also reflected in the sea. Tromsø city centre - bus, approx. 15 min.

Perfect for watching Auroras (dark 30 m from the house). 25 mins walk from City, 10 mins walk from the Ice Cathedral, cable car, Sherpa staircase, Tromsdalen bridge, shop, pizza, sushi. 5 mins walk from the Tromsoe Camping, 30 seconds from the Tromsdalen river. Bus to/from City 200 m. Free parking 1 meter from the door🫠 Two pairs of shoe-spikes, headlamps for free loans.

Home with a view close to the mountain

Little flat where you can relax during your stay in Tromsø. Close to the mountain and the sherpastairs. If you are looking for a place where you can explore the nature around Tromsø this is perfect for you. You can go directly from the house to the mountain or into the valley of Tromsdalen, this will give you easy access to see the northern lights. It is a few minuts to the bus who takes you to the senter of Tromsø (10-15 min. by bus) and you can also walk (30-40 min)

Our house is situated on the appropriately named “whale island” (Kvaløya), just a short 15-20 minute drive to Tromsø city centre and 12 minutes to the airport (9km). This is a perfect location for those searching for a true Arctic experience, as the house is located at the main hub of Kvaløya. Dog and Reindeer sleddings are close by (3km). It is truly is the perfect place to appreciate northern Norway.

Cozy apartment in Tromsø / Tromsdalen

Best view on Fjellheisen, comfortable and hotel feel stay. Hight chance to see the northern light and new year’s fireworks orginized from the city center and Fløyen mountain infront of our house. (attached photos) What makes it even better is the central location of the house. Near by you can find the city center, the famous church and cable car, in addition to restaurants and shopping mall.
