Tromvik is surrounded by great mountains and coveted destinations for skiers/top rides in winter, anglers, mountain climbers and hikers in summer. From Tromsø airport it is 45 min. drive to Tromvik. Tromvik had 144 inhabitants in 2015. The majority of the business in Tromvik is related to fish. There's a fish farm in the village. There are no shops in Tromvik, but several shops are on their way from Tromsø to Eidkjosen on Kvaløya.
