Gîte Le Sambre

This memorable place is anything but ordinary. The history of our houseboat, or modern comfort meets the soothing calm of the water, for a total escape. Our barge has not sailed for years but in 2023 it was refurbished. The boat dates from 1947, it supplied the barges with drinking water on the Meuse, repatriated about 35 years ago to the Thuin shipyard which no longer exists. It served as a restaurant until 2022 and then was transformed into a gîte.

It consists of an equipped kitchen, bathroom with spacious walk-in shower, 2 bedrooms (one double bed and one single bed), living room and workspace. A changing table is also available to guests. Take a moment to unwind in the countryside! Quiet is the key word for our accommodation! The Juliette gîte is a fully renovated gîte for 2 to 4 people located on the 1st floor. Access to the cottage is via the private terrace overlooking the flowered and wooded garden. Around this garden are our meadows with our animals.
