The thatched roof is covered with tin, but the house layout is the same as it has been for a long time. Relax in two spacious Japanese-style rooms. From the veranda, you can see rice fields, mountains, rivers, and houses scattered about... You can see the countryside village. I want to spend time in nature, I want to have a unique experience in the countryside. Recommended for families and friends. The accommodation is fully equipped with a bath with a water heater and shower, and a Western-style toilet. Meals are completely self-catering, but we provide cookware and tableware. This private traditional Japanese house is owned by ‘JP’, a DIY enthusiast who self-renovated a 150-year-old traditional house, envisioning his ideal lifestyle. The standout feature of this accommodation is its one-of-a-kind ‘egg sauna’. This is a fully DIY sauna, developed entirely by JP from design to production, featuring a unique shape that allows heat to circulate naturally.Enjoy a sauna experience you can’t get anywhere else, while being enveloped by the gentle warmth of the wood-burning stove. Inside the room, there is also a traditional Japanese irori (hearth) typical of old Japanese houses. You can experience traditional Japanese living, such as sharing a hotpot around the irori (traditional hearth) or grilling skewers. *Please bring your own cooking utensils, such as ingredients and skewers.
