The strategic position of Stazzo allows you to easily reach points of interest such as Etna (46 minutes), Taormina (33 minutes) and the city of Catania (29 minutes). In the village, just a few minutes walk, there are two small supermarket, a bakery, a butcher, a bar, two restaurants and a pizzeria. On the second Sunday of August, Stazzo celebrates the patron saint, St. John of Nepomuk, whom the Church in the Central Square is dedicated. Throughout the year, the place has a magnificent landscape of sea, and in the summer relax on sunny days, remaining calm and smooth, and the color blue contrasts with the black volcanic cliffs.

Great place! Good and comfortable beds and rooms, a truly beautiful garden/swimming pool/view. A perfect place to relax We had an amazing time and it’s not a complaint, but good to know; you share the swimming pool with the apartment below (had had very nice people there), and there is 1 toilet/bathroom. Again, we didn’t had any issues with it, but just good to know. And yes, I would book it again if I go back to Sicilië.

A very convenient place as a base for sightseeing. We had a car that could be parked easily. Beautiful views. 🤩 The apartment had everything you could need, plus a lot of space. Both the living room and the bedroom and kitchen could go out onto the balcony. On one side, there was a beautiful view of the majestic Etna, and on the other, the sea. And the terrace on the roof 👌🏻🤩 You could really feel the Italian atmosphere 😉 Very responsive and helpful host. I highly recommend the place 😉

Vincenzo is a great communicator and attentive host. He shared valuable reccommendations for things to do in the local area, restaurants and shops. The apartment is beautiful, exactly like the pictures, very contemporary with a balcony overlooking the sea at the front and a view of mount Etna at the back. The town, Stazzo, is a small Sicilian fishing village with few tourists. Although we don’t speak Italian, we were welcomed and found it to be a very friendly neighborhood with neighbours meeting on the seafront, passing the time of day with each other. It was lovely to see. When we were there the beaches were just starting to be converted for the summer season with wooden platforms being installed over the rocks but we were happy to swim and sunbathe on the many flat areas carved out on the rocks. All in all, it was a great base to explore the region, you will need a car but you can park right on front of the house, no problem.
