This is the perfect escape for the large family or group that wants to be close to town but still enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the South Canterbury countryside. 10 minutes to Timaru CBD and beautiful Caroline Bay, 8 minutes to Pleasant Point, 25 minutes to beautiful Geraldine and just over an hour to the gorgeous tourist destination of Tekapo.

Green Door Studio

Enjoy the fresh and colourful vibe of this fully decorated studio. It has a queen and single bedroom ( with two single beds ) and a bright kitchenette, dining, living space with couch and freeview tv. It is fully self contained and has its own entrance but is attached to the main house where the hosts live. The kitchenette has a microwave and small appliances for basic cooking/reheating but is not suitable for every night cooking as there is no ventilation for strong odours.

Our coastal walking track runs directly past this house, which invites safe and scenic walks or mountain biking. Aquatic centre and tennis courts are also just a stone throw away. Supermarket and Fast food options just a walk across the park.

Everything you need for cooking but if you don't feel like it a 1 min drive to a restaurant saves that hassle. There is a trampoline and a big back yard for the kids to burn off some energy. The apartment is located in Central Timaru, being 5 minutes walk from the central business area and the Caroline Bay beach and facilities. Fully self contained, it suits a range of requirements from a single person staying overnight, to a family wanting a longer stay. Caroline Bay is home to a local small 'Little Blue Penguin' colony.
