Holiday houses in Thungwini

Wir hatten eine wunderbaren Aufenthalt auf der Firefly Farm. Lawrie war immer gut erreichbar, super hilfsbereit und hat uns bei der Ankunft direkt sehr freundlich empfangen. Die kleine Hütte ist wirklich wunderschön und toll eingerichtet. Wir haben sie als sehr geräumig empfunden und gut ausgestattet. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und der Blick atemberaubend. Es gibt viele Tiere die auf der Farm leben und einen auf der Terrasse gerne besuchen kommen. Viele unterschiedliche Hunde, Katzen und sogar eine kleine zahme Antilope gehören zu den regelmäßigen Gästen. Es war wirklich wunderbar und wir kommen gerne wieder! :-)

We camp. We camp in summer, winter, in game reserves, in the mountains and occasionally at the beach. We love being out of town, avoiding city living and escaping to relax. And we found we could have all of this and so much more when we glamped at Hluhluwe Bush Camp this weekend. We simply arrived with our food and clothes - everything else was there waiting for us. No setting up a tent or camp. We climbed a few stairs into luxury under canvas. The tented accommodation for the five of us was beautifully presented and comfortably appointed. We were camping, in luxury; we had real beds, an amazing shower and comfortable seating overlooking natural bush and open space. It was just the best place for coffee and rusks watching the sun rise and, also, for sundowners. Hluhluwe Bush Camp is ideally situated so that we could do day trips to the game reserve and to False Bay - for walking in the forests or picnicking. But the joy of just being, around the pool or at our tent, was the antidote to stress, feeling confined and busyness. We will be back - our children may never want to camp, any other way, again.

My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this gorgeous outdoor retreat. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful surroundings and stunning natural beauty. The space was thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with the outdoors, offering the perfect mix of comfort and rustic charm. Waking up to the sounds of birds and fresh air was such a refreshing change from city life. The outdoor seating areas were ideal for morning coffee and evening stargazing, and everything was immaculately clean and well-maintained. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made sure every detail was perfect. From clear instructions to thoughtful touches that made the stay even more special. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway where you can truly unwind and reconnect with nature, we cannot recommend this place enough. We are already dreaming about our next visit!

We loved staying with Lee again! She was as helpful and welcoming as always. The solar power was a huge plus, especially with the frequent power outages in Sodwana. The khaya felt like home and brought back wonderful memories of our first visit to Sodwana and the khaya. It’s truly a special place, and we can’t wait to return!

This Airbnb was SPECTACULAR! The description doesn’t do it justice, it is truly such a magical place to stay, the house is amazing, but the best part was the outdoors, having breakfast on the terrace, looking out at the open fields, one morning we had 2 Zebra walk up to the watering area maybe 10 m away from us, another morning, we walked up into the tree stand and saw two giraffe at the other side of the field, we had other wildlife interactions, but this place was truly just amazing. The biggest mistake we made was not spending more time there, it would truly be a pleasure to stay there again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anna's place! The cottage is really very well equipped, it is spacious, the linen is beautiful and the kitchen is well kitted out. When I come back to Sodwana, I would definitely want to stay there again. Highly recommended!!!

Beautiful home that had lots of free safe space for my 2 year old to run around. Chanel was so kind and very accommodating with all our needs! Such a cool spot away from the main areas but close enough to get to everything We had a blast there and all our needs were catered for. Siphewe the housekeeper is such a gem. Kind and caring with my son and kept the place super clean. And the Grounds caregiver was alert and around keeping us safe and lending a helping hand when needed! I will for sure be back and highly recommend Chanel’s home . Thank you again x

Beautiful spot in Sodwana! Loved our stay here especially spending time on the terrace of an evening (watch out for the monkeys!).
