We absolutely loved our stay! The place was super clean, cozy, and absolutely adorable—every little detail was so well thought out. Jennifer was an incredible host—friendly, responsive, and made everything so easy from start to finish. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone!

We did a girls weekend and this was the perfect place! The house had everything you could possibly need. Wonderfully comfortable and plenty of room to hang out. We are planning on coming back! It was like hanging out at grandmas house. We loved it!

I stayed here when I had a funeral in a nearby area. It was perfect for allowing me to have privacy and a space to bring my furry companions. The bed was comfortable, the water heaters provided consistent coziness, and the shower pressure was great. Perfect house hotel in Halsey.

Wanda and Mike went above and beyond to make my time with them special, and they have to be the kindest, most welcoming hosts out there! It was great to share conversations and laughs with them over dinner and breakfast (both wonderfully prepared by Wanda), and it was so fun to have the chance to feed their cows out in the field. I stopped in Nebraska as part of a longer road trip, but getting to meet them would have made the trip worth it alone. The bedroom and bathroom were also spacious, clean, and comfortable, and Wanda gave great, detailed directions to make arrival, check-in, and parking super easy. Would definitely recommend a stay!

This is a delightful place if you want beautiful and peaceful surroundings in a somewhat remote location. The host is wonderful and fixes a very tasty breakfast with other meals available by request. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and the beds are comfy! Common areas are available both inside and out; many windows and multi-level decks. The beautiful rural setting offers great walking or just sitting enjoying the beauty of the Sand Hills with a river winding through. Sunrises / sunsets or cloud watching are great. This would make a perfect place for a creative group retreat, family reunion, business retreat, etc. We enjoyed our stay, just the two of us. We’ll be planning to return!

This is truly a place where one can go back in time to the quiet open undisturbed spaces of the generations before us. We are so grateful Ann and her family are thoughtful enough to share their ancestral space with those travelers so inclined to a remote place where one can deeply feel alone and undisturbed. We watched a woodpecker family all weekend. The deer were jovial and calm. The turkeys looked beautiful in the field. The river was so clear and tranquil. Adventure abounds here. I’m glad we brought a few days of provisions so we didn’t have to leave at all.
