While on Michigan Avenue, visit the Monroe Building for an example of exquisite renovation of an historic and beautiful building. Just a block away on the west side of Michigan and across from Millenium Park is the Chicago Athletic Association. Take a walk inside - this is a gorgeous 1893 building. The main lobby is open to the public and worth seeing. MUST DO - take the elevator up to the 13th floor rooftop and visit Cindy's - voted one of THE BEST rooftop bars in Chicago by Conde Nast 2017. Comfort food, awesome wine list, and creative libations are all features of Cindy's - and the view is SPECTACULAR. For an extraordinary Chicago experience, visit the Milk Room. Once a speakeasy used by members during Prohibition, this s hidden eight-seat microbar perfects a spirit-forward cocktail menu crafted from only the rarest vintage spirits and elixirs—including a vast selection of - well-curated whiskies. A rare treat!

Right across the street from Millennium Park is the historic building that once housed The Chicago Athletic Association. It’s now home to an upscale hotel. This is one of our favorite places to take visitors to Chicago! Visit the 2nd floor lobby where you can have a drink, relax and have some down time with the kids, and admire the gothic architecture, or dine on casual food in the game room while the kids play Foos Ball, billiards or Bocci ball. Then take the elevator to the 13th floor veranda in Cindy’s Rooftop Restaurant. You don’t have to eat there to enjoy the outdoor veranda and take in the incredible views of Millennium Park and beyond. A terrific photo op!

2 really great bars. One a rooftop cocktail heavy restaurant with great views and the other a more casual atmosphere with bocci ball, pool, card tables and foosball.

Don't let the name fool you, if you're downtown this is THE SPOT to get a cocktail and some snacks, play some shuffleboard and chill in one of the moodiest most historic buildings in the city. We can't resist anytime we're downtown. It also doubles as a coffee shop during the day. Huge tables for working too. Don't bother with the rooftop bar, it's crowded and overpriced. Go for the game room or the library. Cherry Circle room is one of the best fine dining spots out there as well if you're looking for a proper sit down dinner.

While you're downtown, pop up to the roof at Cindy's for some of the city's best views. This place is definitely discovered, but you can't beat the views of Millennium Park!
