Tips from locals
The Fred Harvey Company first turned 'fast food' into a viable business. Railroad travelers stopped at locations like Winslow with 20 minute whistle stops. Now beautifully restored it is a gem.
The Hotel is also a museum of Winslow railroad history! Fully restored and full of amazing Artwork! Not to mention it has the best restaurant in town!
Winslow is about an hour drive but worth it to visit this historic hotel and eat a beautiful meal. And, you can 'stand on the corner in Winslow, Arizona.'
While you may not be staying there, it's right across the street and is a great place to eat and check out the history of this historic landmark. The museum, art gallery, grounds, etc., are all open to the public.
