A great walk through the woods at SERC is perfect for the whole family. Make sure to take a look at their hours before heading out as they are closed Sunday's and some Saturday's throughout the year.

A 2,650-acre campus spans forests, wetlands, marshes and 15 miles of protected shoreline. The site serves as a natural laboratory for long-term and cutting-edge ecological research. Open for hiking, biking and paddling Monday through Saturday, 8:30am-4:30pm, with closures only on Sundays and federal holidays.

Trail goes by the water, is very pretty. Lots of bugs around, so spray heavily before going on trail. Otherwise, lots of other areas to walk that are not so buggy.
