Historic site but with enough to keep everyone entertained for an hour - a rainy day option
Although most of the pier itself is still closed after storm damage, the main building provides an assortment of vintage machines and gambling games to use up those 2p and 10ps in your pocket.
The Grand Pier, also known as Teignmouth Pier, is a pier in the town of Teignmouth, Devon, England. It measures 212 metres in length. It was designed by J W Wilson and constructed between 1865 and 1866.
The poor old pier took quite a battering in the storms of 2014 (which also washed away the railway line at Dawlish three miles away - on my birthday!), and parts of it remain closed, sadly. But the amusement arcade is a great way to keep kids (and adults...) occupied for a while, especially if the weather is being less than helpful.
