The serenity, the sheer diversity, and the proximity to Adelaide make it an immensely popular park. Visitors come for bird watching, boating, kayaking, fishing, camping, walking, four-wheel driving and European and cultural history.

When your in the Heart of The Coorong- your experience and fitness level plays an important factor on the places you would like to visit: ie: Chinamans Well - walk is very easy and on stable ground. If you are wanting to visit the crossings: you can take your 4WD or you can cross it by foot on the dunes- your fitness level has to b fairly good. Guided tours can be arranged by Management of "Coorongdunes"
