This trail is the closest hiking trail there is to Sydney being about a 20-minute drive. The trail has a collection of trails which vary in distance totalling 10km. At most this hike will take you 3 hours. The trail is very popular among locals as it is very close to town. The beginning of the hike can be a bit difficult as it is a little steep but quickly levels out. At the top, you are able to get a panoramic view of the Sydney area. The trail is split into three main trails.

In the mood for a hike? This is a great one, I must warn you there is a bit of a climb initially but the views are worth it. It's one of our family favorites (kids ages 22, 14, 12).

Head out on this 6.3-km loop trail near Coxheath, Nova Scotia. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 52 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
