Rembrandtplein is a major square in central Amsterdam, Netherlands, named after Rembrandt van Rijn who owned a house nearby from 1639 to 1656.

A number of excellent eateries have replaced some of the more seedy establishments that once occupied the area. The Grand Café l'Opera is known for its Art Nouveau facade and Art Deco interior. Café Schiller and the Royal Café de Kroon are popular for their diverse international menus. The Brasserie Schiller (next door to the café) is a lovely 100-year-old
