Famed in the Middle Ages as King Arthurs Round Table, the amphitheatre at Caerleon was built to serve the Roman legionary fortress of Isca around AD 90.

Roman History- Museum and amphitheatre. The Romans were here and their history is beautifully displayed!Free because its one of the National Museums of Wales.Fascinating.

Caerleon is a village on the River Usk with many Roman remains. There is an amphitheatre, barracks, bathhouse and the national museum (all free entry).
