Fun place to see the city and get a bite. Very tourist heavy so might not be for everyone. Fun for kids.

“Really great clean modern cafe with amazing coffee and treats. Last I checked they open at 7am and they are close to the 18th st pink line so you can stop for coffee before you hit the city! I love the loose leaf tea! They also have free wifi”

Italian Restaurant
“Dont be fooled by today's "Little Italy" on Taylor Street. Although they also have some amazing restaurants, if you want family owned Italian (and I mean generationally owned) head over to the "Heart of Chicago" on Oakley Ave where the original "Little Italy" took off. Secret menu item: Fresh Cannoli”

Colloquial Area
“Nestled close to the Lake Michigan shoreline, the Gold Coast is luxury and romance personified. Streets are lined with historic mansions, designer boutiques, celebrated restaurants, and historic hotels. In the evenings, you’ll find a dynamic bar-hopping scene spilling out onto Rush Street until late into the night. Gold Coast is also known as an architectural jewel box. The Astor Street District features rows of 19th-century homes designed in various historical revival styles. ”
