Lake Tahoe is the most beautiful place to hike, walk, sit and admire the view. The 5 p.m. deck view at Jakes by the Lake is stunning.

It is a little drive, but Tahoe City has great Restaurants and Bars.

Stop at Fanny Bridge to watch the Lake Tahoe meet the Truckee River. Lots of cafes and shops. Rent a raft to take down the river. Or bike the trail alongside the river.

Lots of stores and shops. Some large grocery stores. Interesting shops. Ski and boarding shops like DAVES Ski and Sport.
