Rent a kayak, stand up paddle board or even small electric boat and see the city from a new perspective, the lake! Even if you're not in the lake, you'll still be able to enjoy it with the walking path that goes around it. You might get lucky and catch a seaplane landing!

The always bustling Lake Union, located just northeast of downtown, hosts a variety of seaplanes and boats of all kinds, including the floating home from Sleepless in Seattle. Get out on the water at The Center for Wooden Boats, which offers rentals and tours. And explore the area’s burgeoning restaurant and bar scene.

South Lake Union is only a few minutes north of downtown Seattle and most famously home to Amazon's headquarters. SLU is home to a world-class museum MOHAI, historic ships to tour, restaurants with gorgeous water views, boat rentals, and the best place to watch sea planes. Other fun things to do near SLU include indoor mini golf at Flatstick Pub and touring the Amazon Spheres.
