Dating from 9th century AD in it's oldest part, the church is named after St Edburgha, King Alfred's daughter who gave up her status as princess to join the monastic order. The church sits besides Old Yardley Park, which houses an ancient copse of woodland dating to Roman times.

Really recommend a walk around Old Yardley Village as well as a visit to St Edburgha's church. It has a beautiful old world atmosphere which has been designated a Conservation Area.
