On the surrounds of Arthur Seat sits Holyrood Palace, the Queens official residence in Scotland and famous for Royalty through the ages living here including Mary Queen of Scots. The tours are great and you can still see the blood stained floor of where David Rizzio, Mary's confidant was murdered if you like that kind of thing.
