Across where you see the big round ball telescope, there is a trail north along the bluffs with beautiful views.

Another beautiful nearby hiking trail is the Pillar Point Bluff Trail. From the parking lot on Airport Boulevard, the trail leads diagonally up to the top of the ridge. The trial runs North and South from there almost always overlooking the Pacific Ocean below. At the South end of the trail, you look out on the Maverick’s Breaks, site of the famous surfing contest. To get there, turn left across Hwy 1 onto Cypress Street (in Moss Beach), then go South on Airport Boulevard. The parking area is just before the group of industrial buildings on the right.
