North Beach in Idaho has much more sugary sand, and feels much more like a California Beach. Beginning in 2022 day use reservations are required.

This is the best beach. It has nice sand and it a gentle slope.

Swimmers will enjoy two-mile-long North Beach on the north end of the lake. The gradual slope of the lake bottom provides an enormous swimming area. Ramps are available for boaters and water skiers who want to enjoy the water, too.

In my opinion, the best beach on Bear Lake. Miles of sand. Vehicles can back right up to the water on the beach and offload kayaks. Super.fun tailgating style beach. Hot Springs located at the east side for additional fee.
