Really nice place to get some outdoors! A few different loop trails within the trees and one which connects to the larger greenway circuit for walking/biking/running. Really nice for families too! The Nature Center has good interpretive information.
Outside - explore 79 acres of habitat including forest, glade, woodland, prairie plantings, creeks, and frontage on Lake Springfield. Eat a sack lunch in the covered pavilion. he Nature Center has educational activities, great programs for kids and adults, walking trails with wonderful scenic overlooks. The naturalists have put on fascinating programs with learning activities, lectures and crafts. There's an interactive exhibit area inside as well. The kids love it.
