“The Dumpling” or to give it its proper name, Duncryne Hill, is a volcanic plug left behind from the ice age when the Loch Lomond glacier crept slowly south, from what is now Loch Lomond, and took everything with it except this volcanic plug. It rises some 460 feet/142 metres and despite not being the highest of hills in the area gives one of the best panoramic views of the Loch and surrounding areas! Effort minimal, impact maximum!
