BUSTER MANTIS

Why locals recommend it

Named after Sir Alexander Bustamante, the first prime minister of Jamaica and a driving force in the country’s independence, this spot has a menu full of modern twists on classic Jamaican dishes and delicious rum cocktails. It also acts as a gallery and event space, and Friday nights here can snowball—you’ve been warned. The salt fish fritters are next level. Do it.

The rum punch is what I normally go for. Fantastic decor and I've had some great nights there, worth checking out.

This is a favourite little bar of ours which serves amazing cocktails and rum punches but Gordan (owner) also serves really good Jamaican food. They also put on exhibitions and it's buzzy late in to the night. A great place to take a friend!
