Charming little cafe on the tow path - inside and outside seating, does breakfasts, sandwiches, pastries and good coffee. Occasionally they also have a pizza oven outside!

They have a cafe, a pub, a rowing club and do great Sunday roasts. A recommended Sunday destination for breakfast or lunch next to the River Lea canal.

Our favourite Sunday stroll is alongside the little-known River Lea. Start in Marksfield Park and walk east as far as the Olympic Park in Stratford. Stop off in Springfield Park, Walthamstow Marshes and Clapton along the way. The Chatsworth Road has a lovely market and nice cafes at the weekend. And we recommend a pint in the (unglamorous!) Hope and Anchor pub en route where you can watch the narrow boats go by.
