Holiday rentals with an EV charger in The Bahamas

My wife and I had 2 days in Nassau before a dive Safari and we wanted a place with a good price to stay at. Nancy and Russell were for sure excellent hosts, as many of the other reviews here have stated. Also their accomodation is very good, very clean and organized. And they are always available to help in whatever you may need. That being said, I would like to highlight here our experience at Nassau as a whole, so that maybe other travellers can avoid some of the problems we had. If you look at the map you may think that this accommodation is close enough to get to the downtown area walking. It is not. Actually the place where everything happens is pretty small and opposite to the accommodation. So it is a 4 to 5 km walk. And if it is not for the distance, if you really like to walk, even under the sun, I insist you shouldn't try just the same. We did it on the first day and it was not a good experience. The streets in Nassau are not made for pedestrians. There are very few sidewalks, so you have no other option but to use the roads to walk in many different moments. That was dangerous and embarrassing. Dangerous because drivers showed very little solicitude to pedestrians. Embarrassing because when they realized we were tourists they kept waving to my wife, very disrespectfully. It is really a shame to have people like that on such a beautiful island. Taxis are very expensive in Nassau (25 dollars for a 2 km ride). Forget about Uber or the like. And the public transportation...Well, there is a bus line close to the accommodation, at Soldier Road. There are barely no bus stops. but you stay on the street and wave when there is a bus coming. This should be ok, except for the fact that the buses are extremely small, always crowded and very few. On some occasions it took 20 minutes for us to get one. When it is 5pm, everything closes downtown, so you'd better go back fast, because also the bus system stops working. In a nutshell, in my opinion, if you don't have a rented car, or if you plan to go downtown very often during your stay in Nassau, I suggest you look for a place closer to the downtown area. And yeah, I know it is much more expensive, but we fastly found out there are a bunch of good reasons for that.

Myself, my 20 year old and 18 year old stayed at this beautiful property from 12/23/24 to 1/1/25. the grounds are stunning. the unit we stayed in was small but perfect for us. Tangela was always super responsive even when I had a dumb question like how to get a lizard out of the tub! She was a wonderful host and I would highly recommend a stay here especially if you're looking for something more private and away from the main parts of town. Everything was within a 15 minute drive for the most part. The next time we come back to Nassau we will be staying with Tangela again. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and we're sad to say goodbye.

Russell's airb&b is indeed a Tranquil Paradise. We were happy that this location was so close to everything. We felt safe and sound even at nights and everything was so near and clean and organized. We will definately return on our funture vacation to the Bahamas. Five Stars!

Blanche and Danny’s place is about as good as it gets. Absolutely top tier interior design and quality. Pure luxury. Helpful, eager hosts with loads of great tips and recommendations. We’re already looking forward to our next possible return visit.

Tamara was a most responsive host - always friendly and quick in her replies. You’ll have everything you need there. Her place is clean and as described. The gym is great! Cable Beach is chill - you will not be able to go for a long walks on the beach in front of the complex - it’s is short and with jetties on both sides; there’s no chairs or set-up on the beach itself. The pool was great - always could find a chair & shade/sun. The kitchen was well stocked and made food prep easy. You might consider renting a car depending on how long you were there. Every taxi ride was a minimum of $40 regardless of where you went. Buses got crowded during the week. We got into the habit of walking to BahaMar if we wanted to eat out. It was very handy to have basics at Smittys right next door - along with frozen yogurt and a liquor store. Tamara was also kind enough to set us up with the wonderful Monique who had easy taxi rides for us during the week. All in all, a great stay!

everything was as stated.. everything was clean and as pictured... I recommend a car because resturants are 10-15 mins walk. I had recent knee surgery so I couldnt walk too much... overall I enjoyed my stayed and had a great time with family. Kristin was super helpful and answered promptly. would def book again.

This spot was beautiful and met all the expectations set. The local friends at the beach club, welcome center and restaurants were accommodating and friendly. The beach club was a great spot to spend some R&R while grabbing a few drinks or snorkels. An evening trip up to the rooftop pool is recommended!

we visited vans place this easter weekend for my sisters wedding and everything was excellent my family and i enjoy it very much, great location , great resturants, great host . very quite and clean we give it 5 stars . worth every penny . we will make this our home away from home. Ron's Place is definitely clean and has a lot of space. The location was definitely peaceful and accommodating for the bridal party. I will definitely recommend staying at Ron's Place. The host Ron was really responsive and helpful.

Beautiful unit, looks just like the pictures. We arrived at the unit and was surprised by a basket of yummy treats +++ The instructions were very clear and Stacy offered a lot of local restaurants recommendations, literally walking distance. Additionally, she also provided beach chairs and towels for the beach.
