The view from the balcony pays for the place! So peaceful and the sauna was great. Wish the weather was more cooperative but there’s load to do at this cottage.

The place is great. About 20-25 minutes from New Liskeard, which has everything you need, including great restaurant, 28 on the Lake. The view from the cottage/veranda is beautiful. Cottage has its own boat ramp, which worked well for us. The hot tub was amazing, we really used it a lot. The sauna also worked well. Cottage was clean and everything worked. And, finally, Katrin was extremely fast with her responses and her answers were always helpful.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the location. Set on a stunning point surrounded by water, forest, and pure tranquility, the property offers panoramic views and a level of peace you rarely find anymore. In the evening, you can take in the sunset at the firepit or from the comfort of your cozy cabin—it’s surreal. As it was cold and rained most of the weekend, we were not bored or disappointed. Enjoyed watching the rain storms from the large picture window. The cottage itself was immaculate. It was spotless, organized, and packed with thoughtful extras (that you may have forgotten) that made it feel like home (and then some). Clearly, the hosts genuinely care about your comfort and want your stay to be memorable. The free use of a golf cart came in handy. The cottage even has an indoor clothes line! If you’re looking for total privacy, peace, comfort, and a truly unique Northern Ontario experience, Timber Haven is it. We’re already planning our return trip!

The cottage is really well situated on a waterfront lot with direct access to the river and lots of privacy. Everything is very functional and clean. There is no need to bring anything from home for your stay, which makes it a great easy getaway. The host Julie is very organized and responsive. We'll be back!

Kelly, his daughter and furry friends ( Max, Ruby & Mary Jane) made us feel at home. It was my sons 19th and although the weather wasn't fantastic we went on so many adventures and loved the peace, comfort, thoughtful amenities. If your looking for a little slice of heaven, this is the spot .

We had an amazing weekend at Lesley's cottage. The cottage itself is beautiful and thoughtfully renovated. We were blown away by the hottub, sauna and deck. What an amazing place to spend a weekend!

Can't say enough praise about this place. I was on the fence when booking this because it was 4 to 5 hour drive from Toronto and we only had 3 day weekend to spare. When we arrived at the place we were astonished by the beauty of it. The place sits on the waterfall between 2 lakes. We were using a canoe and kayaks to explore both lakes. We hiked 2 trails. The nights there are amazing and you can see all the stars. We were offered some fresh harvest from the vegetable garden. We used sauna at night and briefly jumped in to the hot tub. Having neighbors cabins close to ours we were not bothered by any of this, despite some reviews saying that it was noisy. We were absolutely happy in our say. 10/10 would book again if I'm on the east coast of Canada and have a weekend to spare. I wish we could stay there more. Patrick and Amy were friendly and helpful, we had great chats and saw each other on the trails.

A cozy and clean cabin with everything you need ! I loved watching the birds through the back window each morning. Very peaceful. Janice is a great host, I would stay again !

Jason and his wife, Candice were very friendly hosts. The cabin was everything Jason described it as. He even gave my some extra blankets to keep myself warm at night, and made sure in general that I was happy with my stay. I’d definitely 10/10 come back!

We stayed at the black lily and everything about the place went above and beyond our expectations. From the smooth check in and well equipped cabin that provided everything we needed for our trip, to the friendly hosts (Abi is awesome) and abundance of activities (canoe, sauna, etc), our trip was a memorable one and we will definitely be coming back!

This place exceeded all our expectations. The host is phenomenal. His responses were always fast, extremely friendly and understanding. He was very accommodating with our date changes (due to a military move) and made our process super easy. The place is stunning. Even better than the pictures. It’s open, spacious, with lots of modern, high end touches. I have already been recommending this place to all my friends. It’s a must stay- in the winter or summer. We celebrated our anniversary at Jen’s Shamayim Cabin to disconnect and enjoy some winter activities. With no cell reception, we used our devices only to capture photos and videos. Jen greeted us, gave a brief tour, and recommended activities. It was the perfect winter getaway, with plenty of snow for outdoor activities. The weather was great. We cooked dinner on a campfire, relaxed in the sauna, and ended the evening by the fire with hot chocolate. The next day, we tackled two trails. One involved snowshoeing and trekking up Little Mountain to a scenic lookout. After taking in the views, we made our way down a steep slope, using ropes to assist with the descent. We also crossed a creek along the way before completing the loop. Later, we visited the frozen Bang’s Bay and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The area is huge, with more trails and activities we didn’t have time to explore. Jen and Tzach were wonderful hosts, and we highly recommend their cabins. We’ll definitely be back!

My partner and I had a great time relaxing at the cozy cabin! 20 minute drive from anything which was nice to have a peaceful time. The cabin was clean and we felt safe the entire time. Overall great time

We had the perfect fall week to visit an off grid cabin. The amenities were wonderful even if the solar power was not available. The candles and small battery lights supplied by the host added atmosphere. The wood stove added warmth. The lake and surroundings were blazing with fall colour. It was a great family get together.

Had an amazing stay here! Would definitely recommend for a nice get away trip. My husband and I came up for a long weekend with our dog. This place had everything we needed, and felt just like home! Very cozy and modern place. The hosts were very friendly and easy to communicate with, and they made sure we had everything we could need for our stay! We will definitely be returning in the future!

What a great location for our week of R&R on beautiful Lake Nosbonsing, just half an hour from family in North Bay. We enjoyed this tastefully renovated small cottage with its private entrance and ample parking. It has a spacious bathroom, and a great fully equipped kitchen, including Keurig coffee maker (filter and pods). The queen bedroom is tight, and may be impractical for some. Good air flow throughout. Beautiful deck has sun all day. BBQ works well. We missed the sunsets, but loved sunrises and warm morning sun on the private dock for yoga, coffee and tranquil moments. Superb views from the house make up for light road noise behind. Enjoyed the birds, ducks, loons, etc. We swam at the cottage, but there's no beach. Down the road is Big Moose Beach. The private fire pit is well designed, for enjoyment and safety. There's a well stocked grocery store nearby, which even has a pizzeria. We'd be happy to rent this quaint cottage again. Beautiful cabin located on a great spot on Trout lake. 5 of us had a great time snowmobiling around North Bay and enjoy the hot tub at night. Thanks for having us!

We had such a lovely stay! The setting was perfect. We swam every day and used the paddle boards and kayaks. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen perfectly stocked. The welcoming smores fixings was a nice surprise. All of the details were looked after leaving us to enjoy our stay. Thank you for sharing your place with us!
