Kotare Lakeside Studio Apartment

RitaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Hilary and Rob are fantastic hosts. Hilary is super friendly and accommodating. I simply inquired if there is a microwave at the place to heat up takeaway food (no big deal if there isn’t one), she went out of her way -and bought a brand new one before we checked in. We were amazed by her kindness and effort, we really appreciated it. The place is very peaceful with stunning view, highly recommended! Thank you Hilary and Rob for a fantastic stay 😊 Cheers, Ben and Rita

The Rimu Hut: Luxury riverside and off-grid

EllaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
My partner and I had very peaceful weekend away in the rimu hut. The surroundings are beautiful, and the hut itself has everything you could need. The wood fired bath is an added bonus, and the minimeg fireplace keeps the hut warm throughout the night. There was a mix of all weathers during our stay, with more rainbows than I could count, and the farm and our time there remained lovely throughout. Thank you for providing such a special space! : )

Forest Cabin

5 stars – Worth every dollar! Absolutely stunning stay. This gorgeous little space is tucked away in the heart of New Zealand’s breathtaking natural scenery — the perfect peaceful retreat. Everything was clean, cozy, and beautifully styled, with thoughtful touches throughout. Waking up to birdsong and being surrounded by nature made the experience unforgettable. Worth every dollar — we’ll definitely be back!

Camp Cabin - Ocean & Island views. Whakatane area.

LeslieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
From my Mrs: My partner and I LOVED our stay. I was in awe of everything, we had a bath underneath the stars, had a nice hot meal in the little kitchen at the top — waking up to the nice golden light in the morning and being able to see Whakaari UGH perfection. The beach is a 7 minute walk away and it’s so cool! The horses there are beautiful. Just everything here was so good and relaxing, felt really sad to leave but definitely keeping this place as one of our go-to’s for some time away from home. Thank you, Sarah! Your cabin + everything was amazing ❤️ - Naia & Lez

ecoescape: self-contained off-grid tiny-home

This was truly an incredible stay and I can’t speak highly enough about Linda, Edward, and this beautiful rental! I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area. The view of Taranaki is magical, and I’ve never had this difficult of a time saying “goodbye” to a place. Everything was cozy and comfortable; the place was actually much larger than what I expected from the photos. I stayed here specifically to hike to the Pouakai reflective tarn, and returning to that charming wood fireplace afterward was exactly what my weary bones needed :-) Do not hesitate to book this Airbnb!

Sparrow Hut

Really cute place! Views are beautiful and the surrounding area is just so peaceful. When booking the listing, I actually didn’t even read that it had a hike up to the Airbnb which was completely my own fault but it was still worth it. The host has prepared gumboots and a torch that can be borrowed which is really thoughtful and helpful.
