Tavira Centro, 2-bedroom, historic condo with pool

Come stay for a few days in the magical Convento das Bernardas. Dating back to 1509, this was a home to a Cistercian order of nuns that has been restored by Eduardo Souto de Moura, a Pritzker Prize-wining Portuguese architect. Downtown, yet seemingly far from the madding crowds, this private condominium offers private parking, handsome gardens and two salt-water swimming pools. Our 2-bedroom apartment, stylishly appointed over three floors, enjoys splendid views over Tavira’s salt flats.

This recently renovated farmhouse is situated on a small hill with orange, carob, fig, olive and almond trees with stunning and unobstracted vieuws over a beautiful valley. A true oasis and the perfect place to enjoy in nature and yet close (7 km) to the beach and nice towns such as Fuseta, Olhão and Tavira.

The balcony provides a beautiful 180º view over the Ria Formosa Natural Park and the Atlantic Ocean. Close to a wide offer of small villages, sandy beaches, golf courses, and restaurants, it is only a 3-4 min drive away from Tavira's town center with its Roman bridge, river, and fish/farmers' market. 2 min drive to the closest supermarkets.

Monte do Cansado is a small country house with a magnificent view over the hills of Tavira. With 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, a huge open-space kitchen and a large sunny terrace it is ideal for beach or hiking holidays in the eastern Algarve. It's central heating in every room makes Monte do Cansado a cozy retreat after long hikes or bike tours on cooler winter days. The big swimming pool with a magnificent view of the valley is shared with the guests of Casa do Pátio and the owners.

Casa da Torre is a hidden gem with rooftop pool in the centre of Tavira. From the pool you have stunning views over Tavira, with one of the remaining towers of the city walls in the foreground, and the Algarvian mountains in the distance. Located just a few minutes' walk from the historic centre, you are close to all the activities and sights but still offer all the peace and quiet you need. The interior is soothing and very quality and comfortable.
