Typical dwelling partly excavated and partly built, with splendid views of the enchanted scenery of the Sassi of Matera. It is located in a pedestrian area, so it is not accessible by car, but there is a convenient paid parking lot a 2-minute walk away and free parking along the road a little further away. Close to the most important places to visit! Access to the apartments is on a comfortable ground floor but the view from the balcony of apartment number 1 is on a high floor (magic of the Sassi of Matera!)

My home is a typical home of the Sassi of Matera, partly dug into the rock and partly built in tuff. The spaces have been furnished with a reference to the history of the peoples who have lived for centuries in these caves, without taking anything away from the comfort that modernity has given us. At your disposal you have a warm and atmospheric environment where you can feel at home, as in the childhood chest where scents and colors will take you back in time.

The apartment, with a separate entrance, is located in the historic center and is completely renovated. With attention to detail, the loft is designed to enhance the contrast between ancient and modern, with living stone walls and exposed beams that blend into the industrial chic style. The small cave house has a separate entrance. It is a small underground room completely carved out of the tuff rock. The caves have their own particular microclimate that is regulated by heating in winter and dehumidification when necessary. In the outdoor space, furnished with a small table and chairs, you can meet and make friends with my kitten and my dog, a very sweet Border Collie. Staying in a cave is an experience.
