The area around Grasbakken is a popular area for seabirds. In addition to seabirds, the area is known to be a hotspot for marine mammals such as seals and whales. Reindeer and moose also graze close to the buildings. The nature around Grasbakken is both raw and beautiful - an arctic landscape where the sea plays an important role in the ecosystem.

Cozy and simple cabin located in quiet surroundings close to the Tana river. The property is used as a holiday home. There is a fast internet, good parking facilities and charging point for electric car. There is little light pollution in the area, so there are good opportunities to see the northern lights. Tana is a good starting point for visiting idyllic places nearby, such as Bugøynes, Torhop, Ekkerøy and Vadsø. You can also stroll down to the sandbanks along the Tana river.

Nearby area of Luovttat – Rullesteinsfjæra: Our family cottage is located in the peaceful landscape near Luovttat/Rullesteinsfjæra and is a perfect escape to nature. From the property you can often experience otters playing in the water, porpoises hunting fish right off the dock, and oxerein grazing in the garden. Daily the fishing boats will sail by. There is also plenty of saithe and cod to get on pole from the shoreline, making the place ideal for fishermen.
