Amazing historical house. It's not for everyone but it's fascinating to see how people would've lived back then! Host was amazing as well. Left way more snacks and drinks than I could finish, and offered lots of great advice for the area, and always checking up on me to ensure I am comfortable!

I rented this for myself as a getaway in the mountains with my guitar and I was not disappointed. From start to finish this was the best Airbnb stay I've ever had. I made the mistake of going late to the town and missed all of the buses and taxis services. The host graciously at the late hour called one for me and got me out of that situation. They went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing stay. I will be staying here every single time I'm in the area.

My second stay with Tomoyuki since two years ago. Everything went beautifully as expected. The weather was not cooperating on one of the four days but that allowed me to stay in to enjoy this vintage tradition home and felt the tranquility it presented itself on a rainy day. The hike nearby was kimochīi (feeling great). The izakayas recommended were subarashī (wonderful). Tomo introduced me to spend a day at Mashiko. The famous pottery town was preparing for the upcoming Golden Week event and I appreciated "the calm before the storm" time strolling the quiet town. Some keepsakes were bought. I look forward to another visit soon, maybe in a different season to appreciate the range of activities available around the area.

The house is very well kept, has 4 rooms that are clean and many amenities that we enjoyed. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Amazing house!

Mitsuko was a great host and responded quickly to our questions. My only caution is that the stairs up to the apartment are steep and my friend, who has a bad knee, had to be cautious on them. Otherwise the apartment was fantastic and met our expectations. Kitchen had everything we needed. The Italian restaurant underneath was also a nice surprise and would definitely recommend it. :) The apartment was 2 stops away from Shinjuku station so easy to get around using the metro or walking. Would definitely stay there again!

We (a couple in our 40s) stayed here for almost a month in March and April. We loved it! The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. The house was cozy and the host very friendly, responsive, helpful, and flexible. We enjoyed cooking local produce in the house, running in the surrounding areas, visiting the onsens, snowboarding, and driving to the mountains. There is good Internet and space to work remotely. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pots and pans, etc. Although you do not need a car because the train station and grocery are a 15-minute walk and there is a restaurant within five-minute walk, having a car opened the surroundings up to us—all the wonderful nature and onsen and small towns. Nagano station is 45 minutes by train.

Toshiko was responsive, helpful, and gracious as a host—she met us for our check-in and check-out and was communicative throughout our stay. The apartment is a part of Toshiko’s house but it has a separate entrance. Note that you need to go up a tight set of stairs to reach the apartment, which might be difficult for some. The space was definitely close quarters, and I would say with us being three adults with normal-sized luggage we were at the limit. But it was clean and comfortable for our needs. It is located on a quiet residential street within walking distance to several train stations (most involved some sort of a hill)—we used Yoyogi-Uehara station since it was most convenient for us and it had a couple streets nearby containing a nice selection of restaurants. That station worked well for touring Tokyo, but we realized we needed to budget an extra 30-45min to get to central stations for day trips we had planned. With reasonable expectations, you’ll enjoy your stay!

Really enjoyed my stay. Very central location. Just 10 min walk to the heart of Shinjuku area and 15-20min by train to Shibuya. Clean space easy to check in. And free luggage storage which was amazing since my flight back home was at 7pm and check out was at 11am. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and very accommodating. They also speak fluent y English so it was easy to communicate with them.

Exactly as advertised and was a great host. Clear and fast responses on any and all questions. The appartment has great connections to the rest of Tokyo.

In general A very comfortable accommodation for 3 people. In a very quiet residential area away from the hustle and bustle of tokyo. The metro station is very close and there are many convenience stores nearby. It does not have a tumble dryer but there are several coin laundromats within 2 blocks. It is located on a second floor, so if you carry large luggage it can be a little heavy.

The house close to everything you could need, but far enough away to escape the busy central Tokyo. perfect location to stay with children, everything was working, safe and comfortable. highly recommend!

The place is small but well organised and clean. I liked the location in quiet neighbourhood. The station is not far. I can recommend staying in Sayoko's apartament.

Great with two toilets, two showers (same bathroom) and a washer/dryer, kitchen and access to the entire floor & upstairs playroom and balcony. The tatami mats in the rooms are clean, nicely set up linens with extras. Those of us over 40 had a hard time sleeping on the thinner tatami mats. I doubled up and was so tired every night that I never had a problem falling asleep. But just know that’s what you’re walking into. We highly enjoyed our stay and thought the location safe and convenient. The host was lovely to communicate with. We had no problems coming and going from the apartment.

We had an amazing stay at this accommodation in Japan! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our host, which made us feel at home right away. The location was excellent — both the train station and a supermarket were very close, making it easy to get around and pick up anything we needed. What made our stay even more special was that the host was present and always available to answer our questions and give us helpful tips. Her kindness and attentiveness really made a difference. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

In addition to the sauna and open-air bath facilities, the location was amazing!The building itself is very beautiful, and I felt that this was the ideal villa! Amenities and convenient goods were arranged everywhere, and it was a very good stay where you could feel the owner's care! It was really great, so I'm sure you'll be back!

Nataria’s place is beautiful and clean. The lodge looks exactly as shown in the pictures. The airbnb is located in a very quiet and beautiful forest. Tourist attractions are easily reachable as well which made this the perfect place to stay. Nataria was very welcoming and flexible. We would definitely stay there again!

Amazing house built in entirely WOOD! Beautiful place to stay with a huge group of families! Will definitely recommend to my friends if they are coming to travel around!

very beautiful villa at the same time well located, very well equipped and very pleasant to stay in. 3 families with children, it was perfect!

Truly pet- friendly hotel, lots of pets supplies prepared in the living room which is so sweet and relived. The house is so clean and well-equipped, we can find basically everything in the house. The view is also gorgeous, having breakfast at terrace was an enjoyable experience. Great space for vacation and relaxing with family and group of friends.

We had a very pleasant time with a barbecue and a pool.Thank you for being so kind and caring about everything. I'd love to stay again if I get the chance!
